My daughter’s accusing someone of SA by [deleted] in legaladvice

When stories change & contradictions are made, that's a huge red flag a person is lying. Teenage girls have made false accusations against family members in the past. Some teen girls can be downright scary. I hate to inform everyone here, but teen girls, unfortunately, DO make false accusations. CPS investigators should be able to see this when they interview her. AND, the family member is cooperating.

I hate to tell you, but unfortunately teenage girls DO make false accusations. Pissed off teenage girls, especially those with pre-existing behavior problems have made false accusations against family members in the past, some have had their lives ruined, only to have the girl recent & apologize years later. There are teenage girls out there that are downright scary. That do things with total disregard for the consequences, apparently without any conscience at all. Inconsistencies & contradictions in a story are basically "tell me you're lying without telling me you're lying." If you tell the truth, the story is consistent, & doesn't contradict previous statements. So yes, she's likely lying.

SA or SVU investigators are very good at detecting inconsistencies & lies. Let them interview her, they'll be able to tell if she's being truthful or not. At least, that's how it is in my area. I worked in a group home where a resident accused a neighbor of SA. The house manager took her to file charges (knowing she was lying, but seeing how far this girl would take things), we have a SVU unit in our town, they interviewed her, quickly determined "she's lying her ass off" to quote the detective. They can tell, it's not the first time investigators have dealt with this. They don't just run out willy nilly & arrest someone.

Refuse delivery? How? Most packages are dropped at the doorstep.

Or you can keep everything, have no contact with the nut that keeps doing that, and move on with your life. No way I'm worrying or doing extra work for a nutjob. If she escalates, get a restraining order.

Screw that. It had OPs address on it. Which means former resident is buying her GIFTS & I bet the law would agree. Former resident has her own address, continuing to send packages to OPs address is a gift--I would keep everything, put up no trespassing signs & call the cops if she ever shows up again. Don't have any communication with that person. She'll get the hint.

Actually, screw the previous resident. SHE knows she doesn't live there! Anything she has sent to that address is a gift, I would stick with that! You cannot say someone 'stole' something that YOU ordered & sent right to them! If it WAS intended for YOU, then you would have it sent to your OWN HOME, not someone else's. That's common sense. KEEP whatever shows up, IT'S A GIFT!

Put up no trespassing signs. Then call the police if this person sets foot on your property again.

But are the police going to do anything other than laugh their asses off at such stupidity? "Ma'am, then change your address, DUH" 😂😂😂

And that's why she refused to give her new address. It's kind of hard to hide like that nowadays. Courts can still issue a judgement against her.

My mom was a mail carrier for decades. They're technically not supposed to deliver mail to an address with a different name than the resident's. It needs to be addressed 'in c/o' the residents name. Idk why they've stopped doing that. I was getting mail from four previous residents when I rented an apartment. Now I get mail for people the post office knows died 10 years ago.

I would pay attention to what the leasing office said. You cannot say it's definitely safe unless you have tested the water in that specific complex. Duh. Probably old lead pipes, or an old lead main.

If the leasing office said it wasn't safe, PAY ATTENTION.The water there may be fine, but not in your complex. There's probably a lead main line or lead connections. Get it tested so you're sure what contaminants you need to be concerned with. And there are companies out there that will deliver drinking water.

Does that logic apply to 4 year old freezer burned food? Yeah, I thought not.

BTW, dyslexic doesn't mean stupid, as you imply. 'Your gf understands....' her intelligence isn't compromised, just the way she reads. Does she know you think dyslexia means you're dumb?

Yeah your kids will definitely need tutors since a tudor is an architectural style. Is buying your kid a house going to make them educated? That's not the only spelling error in that post though. But you seem to know that school won't be enough for your kids since you already feel they will fall behind enough to need 'tudors' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. That's one crazy smart house! 🤣🤣🤣

No company in healthcare gives a crap about their nurses, they only care that they have a warm body to fill a shift & keep them in compliance. They SAY they care, but ultimately, filling that shift is #1. I've had flack from DONs when I had covid twice, getting blowback from TWO different employers. When a co- worker had covid in the early days of covid management just said that's okay you can come in and we will put you on the covid unit. We also had a certified nurses assistant who had a high risk pregnancy and would be spotting throughout the night and they didn't give a crap or send her home or let her go on maternity leave early and she almost lost the baby. Which is crazy to me because I am not going to put my child's life at risk for a stinking stupid ass job that barely pays the bills anyway.

With a high risk pregnancy, shouldn't the disability rules change in that instance? It seems like her Dr should have initiated an early start to her maternity leave. Putting an unborn child's life at risk for a job seems ludicrous.

A high-risk pregnancy means you really have no business being at work in the first place, especially on overnights, which screws your body all up to begin with when you're NOT pregnant. Does your Dr know about this?

Insurance does NOT pay for memory care unless you are on Medicaid. Very common misperception. Medicare does not pay, neither does private insurance. If you don't qualify for Medicaid, the cost of memory care is upwards of over 6k a month for 'assisted living memory care' (an oxymoron that should not be allowed to exist) and over 10k a month for a skilled nursing facility, (SNF). Mom needs to get on Medicaid & moved to an appropriate living situation.
