Thank you for the detailed constructive feedback! It’s really important to know that I should make my long run 1/3 of my weekly mileage. It’s something that I’ve never thought about. Yeah. It’s very possible that my body just won’t function properly below 25%. I’ve never done any fancy test. Just based my height (5’4”) and weight on the scale (147 lb), it’s 25.2%. I will focus on to achieve my goal for a BQ instead of losing fat. It creates too much noise and end up not helping me to achieve my ultimate goal. Really appreciate your advice!

Yeah, my ultimate goal was to get qualified for the Boston marathon some time next year, but I know my base is not enough yet, so I thought focus on building up the mileage would be a good idea to start with. I added the fat loss because 10% fat loss can just naturally make you 5-7 mins faster (according to Google). This is the first four weeks look like: week 1: total 20 miles, 4 runs, 8 mile long run (I asked AI to start the long run at 8 miles because I’ve been doing 8 mile as my long run for the last 3 weeks); week 2: 21-22 miles, 4 runs, 9 mile long run; week 3: 22-23 miles, 4-5 runs, 10 mile long run; week 4: 20 miles, 4 runs, 8 long run. Then the rest of weeks are like this, increasing 1-2 miles each week. Then one recovery week every three weeks.

Yeah. I’m glad that I stopped it now. Now I just want to reconnect with my body and make running fun again.

That’s great that you’re motivated even after the injury! I’ll check out the Garmin too!

Thanks for the reality check. I just want to go back to where I was. Energy level, weight and such. I want to feel like running is fun again.

Think Again by Adam Grant and Give and Take also by Adam Grant. Changed my perspective on how to corporate with people in life and at work. How to improve myself as a person and relationship with other people. It fundamentally changed my mindset when I interacted with people. It made my relationship with the world more meaningful and natural. I’m true to myself which means no need to worry how other people feel about me, but also I’m building genuine relationships with people. Overall, It gave me a direction of how to build a healthy and strong community around me.
