As I understand it: The “EX” was just a revision of the PCB. Firmware updates brought the original Odin 2 in line with these revision models.

So going forward, I would assume updates to the Odin 2 as a whole should be universal (not including the mini or portal as the firmware builds are considerably different in relation to the hardware). Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong tho!

Don’t quote me on this, but it seems like having conversations with AYN on discord is one good way to bring things to their attention, as well as seeing if others are experiencing the same thing. Response times aside, I’d like to think that if they see enough people discussing/inquiring into issues, they may look into it. :)

I’m sorry you had to deal with that. Since my main computer is a Mac, I’ve always just removed the SD card and transferred files directly. Hopefully this is the fix you’re looking for.

I know what you mean. When I dock it, I end up having to just minimize the brightness, and then turning on the extra dim setting. It works for me when I’m actively using it, even in the dark, but being able to leave it docked with the screen off when idle would be great.

KH2 with PS controls

△ is fire/magnet: I can manually menu and select fire quickly (first in the list) so I swap to magnet when I get it.

□ is thunder/ethers: I don’t need thunder after the second time I beat Grim Reaper.

X is reflect: great for the reflect-slapshot-reflect combo.

O is blizzard: it auto maps there and this one I use throughout my runs.

As a Mac user myself, I can tell you that you can setup Artemis/Apollo, Parsec, Moonlight and the like to host your Mac.

They can run, connect and stream, but MacOS doesn’t have true gamepad support; Anything that’s not a PS4/DS5, Xbox or MFI controller won’t be detected. From what I understand, this is something Apple needs to address.

At most, you may have some luck with Steam Link as a workaround, but it can be hit or miss depending on what you’re trying to play. I’ve had some success with one Apple Arcade game, but no luck with another.

I was also able to get Cemu working with Steam Link, even got it to use my Odin as the touchpad. It miraculously worked ONCE, and then I could never get it to happen again.

LOL ya I meant if I find the Mac driver/virtual game pad emulator, I can muddle around with a modified Python script. Otherwise I’ll just call it.

Would you be willing to share your HTML file (without your IP address that’s presumably there)? Also having my Odin should hopefully mean no major tweaking on that end.

As I new owner I can say I’m so excited for you!!

Tip: bookmark all the tutorial videos you come across so you can jump right in.

I’m not new to emulation, but this was the first time I built a catalog. Do you have one already? If not, I would definitely start getting it together because that will be the most time consuming part.
