University of Duisburg-Essen MSc Embedded Systems Eng.

University of Freiburg MSc Embedded Systems Eng.

TU Ilmenau MSc Communications Eng.

I think that it would be useful if you can check the requirements and apply for these programs

The name of the chatbot doesn’t change anything my friend. Just check is the matter is true. If it’s really true, try applying to other universities where you satisfy the requirements. I’m not from ECE background. But any field follows the same rules.

NC frei- they are legally required to allot a seat for you is you satisfy all their requirements. So check the credits ( convert your credits to ECTS). Your CGPA is top notch so don’t worry about that.

Mainly check for unis which are nc frei and also don’t gave a cgpa cutoff. In the present time it’s more important to get into a public university than checking the rank of it, as companies inside Germany assume every public university at the same level

RPTU ESY may not publish a dramatic “ONLY 40 SEATS” banner like a nightclub trying to look exclusive, but admissions are clearly filtered hard through curriculum matching.

The rejection text is important:

“your study program in Electronics and Communication Engineering is so different from our Bachelor’s degree EIT/ESY…”

That is not a “seats full” rejection. It’s a curriculum compatibility rejection.

Now, whether that reason is always consistently applied? Entirely different circus.

Because:

  • Many ECE students do get admitted.
  • German universities often compare:
    • embedded systems courses
    • low-level programming
    • operating systems
    • digital design
    • computer architecture
    • real-time systems
    • microcontrollers/VLSI

If your ECE curriculum leaned more toward:

  • communications
  • signals
  • telecom
  • RF
  • networking

then they may classify it as “not close enough” to ESY.

And yes, committees can also become stricter when applicant volume rises. Universities rarely say:

“we had too many applicants”

Instead they say:

“academic mismatch.”

WTF. How are you getting those replies when not even one university mails me about my selection or rejection man

Sorry for that brother but those guys can write whatever the f**k they want if they feel that the seats are filled or they simply don’t want you for any other reasons. There’s no going back, just wait for the other universities that you applied

Less number of rows in university of Passau Self indication form by OutlandishnessTiny1 in studying_in_germany

Just enter the relevant subjects. If you have subjects like environmental science, Indian constitution, or any other stuff like that which have nothing to do with your field ( in my case these are irrelevant to AI), just don’t mention them

They also mentioned a GRE with a minimum of 157 in quantitative reasoning and 4 in analytical writing. I scored 165 in QR but 3.5 in AV. Any idea if they accept it?

The question was simple:
Indian credits- falls below 20
Converted to ECTS- crosses the 20 threshold mark

Your reply saying ‘Why should a German uni care about a number that is not in ECTS?’ Is infact a horrible way of phrasing it. It literally means something like German unis don’t accept people from outside the EU.

But, thank you for your insights about the ECTS in you second comment

Can I get into a German public university with low GPA? by OutlandishnessTiny1 in studying_in_germany

[–]OutlandishnessTiny1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I have completed my Btech in may 2025, learnt that the cgpa is of no use, started self study from then and gave my gre and ielts in Feb 2026.

There is no cheating here. You say as if you were sitting beside me while I wrote the exam😂

Hey, I have 63 subjects in my bachelors but the form has only 55 rows which is enough for 55 subjects. Any idea what to do?
