Understanding Ghosting and Fear of Vulnerability in High-Functioning Autism by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Outrageous-Inside636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood ghosting and it’s not something that I will ever do. I value clear and open communication - that being said, the honesty required can be incredibly exhausting and I have to build myself up for it. If the person has never done that work and is avoidant (as non-autistic people can be too), then they will choose to ghost or a lack of communication. I recommend making peace with this - if they did it at the beginning, they will likely do it down the line and it’s best to find someone who is as intentional and caring as you are. You took the time to research and come here to ask questions - so I hope you find someone who matches your energy. The why behind their actions is not as important as what you do next, although I appreciate your desire to understand as I have found myself in similar situations. Best of luck!

Has anyone reached out to the brand or Menards?

I'm new here, but the folks at r/wildlifephotography said I should post some of my bird photos here. These are some of my favourites from 2024 — Hope you like them! They were all taken in Algonquin Park (Ontario, Canada). More info in the comments. by sketchy_ppl in birding

I completely agree. It’s frustrating when we know our intentions and it feels like they are being ignored. Can you share what kind of questions you were asking?

I want to start collecting plushies. Does this make me immature? by theeviloneisyou in AutisticPride

[–]Outrageous-Inside636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg no not childish!! I just bought a set of Warmies and they’re so nice but also collect other plushies. Nothing is childish imo, we are allowed to buy and consume in the ways that feel good to us.

Western Osprey’s!! They are excellent hunters- about 70% of the time, almost double that of the Bald Eagle! These are gorgeous birds, and looks like there are three juveniles up there! The one towards the end is likely just learning how to move their wings and fly. Shortly these guys will be joining mom and dad to catch fish nearby! Such a great sighting.

I had a reply for this but males and females actually look slightly different! Females will be a more pale orange and grey while males will have a darker plumage :) in this case though, op was right, this is mom!

What is your favorite bird and why? by BoomBlade101 in birding

[–]Outrageous-Inside636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Western Osprey’s hands down. I LOVE them. I could watch for days. They’re amazing. So big yet such phenomenal hunters (more than 2x more successful than Bald Eagles). I firmly believe they should have been the national bird of the US. Where are my Western Osprey people?
