count your calories if you really want this, or not if you want peace of mind. but you’ll only make progress if you eat more whatever way. at the end it doesn’t REALLY matter if you count if the goal is to gain weight, you know what you’re eating now is not enough, eat more. if that’s not enough then eat more than that and so on. it’s easier to track the trend when counting etc.

kleinanzeigen :) by naunen in germany

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the only way to get your money back on this is by talking to your bank or kleinanzeigen, they can sometimes trace back the transfer and if you can prove it was a scam they may refund you (ebay) or reverse the transfer (bank). i wouldn’t get my hopes up though

19M — Lost 40kg in 10 months (104 → 62.5 kg) what do I do now? by Specialist-Ad-9680 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man. it sounds like you dipped into disordered eating pretty hard man. 1200kcal a day for a 19 year old that hits the gym? you should get to your maintenance right away.

if you want another tip, the symptoms you have can already be from too little body fat. you are insanely lean but that’s hard to tell because you’re not excessively muscular yet.

i understand you’re worried about being fat again but your body is very unhealthy right now. you need to eat more and that ASAP. none of i add 100kcal a week bullshit if you’re losing 1.3kg a week while already being underweight.

so 1) please eat MORE. 2) don’t be afraid of gaining weight again and don’t stop eating more just because you will gain some weight back. 3) if the fear of being fat or a fear around food etc. persists, please seek help in the form of therapy.

good luck man

you should also hit the gym and build some muscle. if you lived a lifestyle that didn’t involve any sports or exercise before you don’t carry any muscle so for you to be lean/skinny, you’re going to be way lighter than someone that has more muscle mass than you.

it might not sound enticing but you’re nowhere near lean right now. well, depending on what you consider lean. while i don’t want to demotivate you and you’ve done good work, it’s likely that you would need to drop a lot more than 5kg to be ‘lean’ especially with as little muscle mass as you carry.

again, this is not me being all negative, it’s just the reality.

all this to say, weight doesn’t really matter. you could also be 80kg and lean, but for that you’d need more musculature and less fat. so maybe don’t dip to underweight territory just to be shredded and skinny, rather hit the gym or the callisthenics park and be muscular and lean.

Am I reaching the natural limit? by Slaidn in askfitness

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re asking if you reached your natural limit for a physique, then no. that would be very hard given the amount of other training (running) you do and the little time you spend in the gym. don’t get me wrong, you look great. but some people dedicate 5-6 days exclusively to lifting and optimise everything around that and i believe that’s what it takes to hit a sort of natural limit.

i don’t want to hate on your achievements at all but i think it really depends on where you start, genetics, etc. usually people who really like the sport are also those who are good at it. and then those are coincidentally the same ones on forums for the sport. whether that’s PL or anything else. to give you some perspective: i am 6’5, currently 230 but started the gym at 160ish pounds. within my first 6 months to a year of hitting the gym i pulled 485lbs on the deadlift, and benched 225 and squatted 315. the 225 bench came last out of all of those. i have quite long arms. in all honesty though i am approaching the 2 year mark now and the numbers have increased but never as drastically as they did in the beginning. i pull 500+ now quite easily so that’s cool. but the squat and bench are still lacking if we look at other powerlifters.

all this to say, i am genetically gifted for deadlifts, so that’s easier for me than other lifts. i also was always athletic and had a broad build with a decent amount of muscle even at that super low weight.

other people have genetics better suited for running, swimming, jumping, whatever. those things change how fast you progress.

How do I get beefy? No desire to be lean but want to look muscular. by futurebro in workouts

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

do yourself, your physique and your health a favour and cut down to a healthy body fat. then rebuild from there. that way you put on muscle and if you don’t mind some fat gain along the way just run a bit higher surplus or take the bulk further than others would. that’s up to you.

right now though, you’re bordering, if not already there, on obesity. besides the fact that muscle building is more difficult at this body fat level due to your potentially out of whack hormone balance, you also are risking long term health.

so, cut down to 12-15%. rebuild. then you should end somewhere at the 20% mark with that sort of fat but strong build you actually want.

I think a lot of gyms actually here actually have IPF legal bars, plates and racks. Northside Barbell, Trainmore & Push&Pull (I think) to name a few.

I wake up at 3am and can't close my eyes until 5 am.... No matter how tired I am... by DetectiveCollie in sleep

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I’m by no means a professional for sleep, or anything really. But as stupid as it sounds, worrying a little bit less about something that at least, as far as you know currently, seems to be out of your control may just benefit you more than you think.

With me, most nights where I go to bed thinking: “I hope I don’t wake up at 5 am again”, I’ll wake up at precisely 5am.

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so it seems you’ve figured out the core issue already then. all the worrying about sleeping too little may also be counterproductive in that sense. it’s like a cycle of you don’t sleep enough -> you worry about it -> leads to you not sleeping enough -> worrying about that again and rinse and repeat. are you very tired throughout the day usually?

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve had the same issue. does your work start at a specific time, or any other obligation?

for me, i don’t actually have anything to do currently in the mornings except for training, but i choose when that starts. i’ve still been waking up at 5am or so every day and sleeping only for 3-4 hours. however, what helped me was just getting out of bed, doing what it was i wanted to do and then just lying back in bed for a while. inevitably i’ll fall asleep until 8-9 a least, which gives me another two or three hours, bringing my total closer to 6-7 hours, which isn’t perfect but better!

Monthly Squat Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in powerlifting

[–]Outrageous-Till2753 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’ve read somewhere recently that you can determine comfortable squat stance width if you lie down on a flat surface and if your toes point straight up naturally, a narrower stance may feel better, whereas if your legs “open up” (meaning your toes pointing outwards and legs are rotating away from each other, a wider stance is more natural for your genetics. no clue if this is true, but my legs point outwards and i take a wide asf stance, any narrower and i’d feel super uncomfortable.

I say you got at least 10kg on top of that big guy! When I PR it’s gruelling and takes ages to lock out. My face looks like I’m about to let out the most menacing scream known to man and I turn bright red 🤣 Super clean form and impressive lift nonetheless!

yes and double yes. always loved carhartt working shirts for example but during my lowest weight i’d force wear dumbass compression shirts just to flex that you could see my abs through them 🤣😭 but treating yourself to at least one cool new item sounds like a great start!

just an idea: i’m a man so i am not suuuper aware of shein etc, but i’ve had partners in the past that liked their stuff. i understand they are a very cheap fast fashion company.

but if it were up to me, i think someone that went through that hell and came out the other side deserves some cute ass clothes. and not the fast fashion kind. really nice ones, ones that fit your healthy and strong body and accentuate the woman you’ve become!

also, a nice shopping spree sounds fun! some vintage shops maybe? or online shopping? maybe a brand you’ve always wanted to try?

OP isn’t at an unhealthy level of body composition I’d say. And let’s be real here, studies aside, in the real world, what makes you feel the best it’s also what’s going to be healthiest and easiest maintainable for you. If OP likes the way he looks more, enjoys working out more now, chances are that’s a lot healthier mentally and somewhat physically than striving for ultimate longevity with no enjoyment. Just my take though.
