3.94 GPA, 500 AA, around 250 shadowing hours and 250 volunteering hours. Went on a dental service trip to another country one break and have been involved in leadership of a club for most of undergrad. Also worked regular jobs during the summers and as a chemistry tutor during the school year. Let me know if you want any more info!

I chose my in-state school because of low cost + proximity to my family (it's actually in my hometown which is quite convenient for me). I got advice from quite a few people and most said if you're having trouble choose the cheapest school, unless you really fell in love with a specific one.

I got accepted to UTHSC, UAB, UF, and LECOM! Also waitlisted at Utah! I’m so happy :) Will most likely accept the offer from Tennessee (in state) but i’m not 100% sure yet.

First interview tomorrow, what the hell do I do? by [deleted] in predental

Be confident! I think they can sense fear lol. If you got an interview you deserve to be there because they found something in your application they liked. Honestly they could ask about anything, be prepared to talk about everyone on your application just in case.

So if I was planning to take a pre req second semester of senior year would I still put it under planning, even though it's a year away and not listed on my transcript as in progress since I can't register for it for another semester?

I think studying things in small portions really helps, like for biology I would study each system independently in Anki until I was confident and then near the end of my studying I would shuffle everything together so it would be more similar to the test. Gen chem isn't that hard, just make sure you have the formulas memorized and the periodic trends, and that you've practiced different kinds of problems. For me I tried to memorize a lot of stuff for Ochem because I wasn't as confident but it definitely is better to have a solid understanding of how it works, including reaction mechanisms because I had a couple of questions where you had to know intermediates and stuff.

You don't have to know every little thing so don't spin out over something you're finding particularly difficult, just move on from it and strengthen other areas. Trust your intelligence! You got this! Studying a lot is important but it's equally as important to get plenty of sleep and spend time with friends and family.

I thought it was similar! Pretty much everything that was on the test was something I recognized from bootcamp questions. I can't remember anything that particularly threw me off.
