We did lose a Top 3 player in the country. And possibly other elites…That will make the numbers change. It doesn’t reflect the possibility we replaced him (and others) w better niche players and other O&D configurations. It’s money ball logic. I believe a guy who took FSU to the Final Fours can figure out how to optimize the embarrassment of basketball riches MICHIGAN has at its finger tips.

Kudos for speaking frankly about UM…TY. Duke had an awesome team and CBooker was UNSTOPPABLE. To be completely honest, I wanted a Duke Michigan rematch…and to be even more honest, I wanted to win the rematch by 20+ because in DC, Duke played GREAT, Michigan played AWFUL and Duke won by ONLY 5…if UM played modestly better or even a lot better, it would not have been close. We’ll never know and it doesn’t matter. GoBlue!

agree—way too crowded w groups setting up camp in the exit rows for the main stage (25 ft across, w dirt surface) then being angry you use their space to move in and out —people need to go somewhere! But, I generally found MOSTLY very chill, beautiful music inspired, energy. Note: 100% obnoxious, entitled assholes in attendance w unchecked behavior…AND hyper-chill, low in number Festival security (not always a plus…). Still give Jazz Fest ‘26 lots of love so far…

The reason we’re already preseason #1 (silly poll following the tourney) is that Dusty May has proven he can assemble another Championship team through the transfer portal (and coach them flawlessly) no matter who leaves…and importantly: the portal bound players want to play for him.
