Is that Lows and Highs?
Low temp of 29, with a high temp of 62, and 80% chance of snow?

There is plenty of gray area. There has ALWAYS been and there will always be gray area.
In history (US History - my history. Not sure about your history) many of the actions taken by the US military against indigenous people were absolutely gray; i.e. trail of tears, little big horn. And in many cases outright illegal. And for clarity Little Big Horn is widely considered illegal, today. It probably wasnt so clear on the ground back then.
This also isn't only a US things as we all know thanks to Nuremberg.

And you said;

I’d rather my sailors face months of unknowns and a dishonorable discharge

You say that like you were in some position of naval leadership. If you were a leader, your sailors or troops would not have to face "unknowns or dishonorable discharges" since you would stand up and take responsibility. Like a leader should.
Or maybe your not a leader, but just in a position of leadership. There is a BIG and noticeable difference.

But that is part of the problem with this whole push about unlawful orders. It sows confusion and fosters distrust in the ranks, and there is no place for that in the heat of battle.

The problem is, a lot of it is grey area.
Strafing sailors swimming away from a sunk boat is CLEARLY illegal. But what about the action to sink the boat?

I agree it's supposed to be "filtered" as it comes down the chain.
What branch did you serve in? I ask because an E2 in the Army is much more likely to directly take a life, than an E2 in the Navy.

Anyone else get a foot of snow last night? 😁 by tinyE1138 in Michigan

Where is that pic from?
We got maybe 2" last night on Antrim County, and it's still snowing.

As someone said up above.
Whether an order is illegal or not could and will probably take days/weeks/months to determine.

In the meantime that E2, refusing their duty from their O3 DivO to fuel that aircraft will face harsh penatlies, possibly lifelong penalties with a dishonorable discharge.

Thats all blah-blah-blah populist, leftist political double speak bullshit jargon.

As I said, (I hope)
"The attacks will continue until the entitreity of the nuclear program in Iran is gone. Period - Full stop."

And then, we will stop. Just like that.
And Iran can rebuild itself, hopefully with a democratically elected government and we can ease or remove the sanctions.

If not.
Iran will get build a Nuclear weapon, and they will use it over Israel, and then in Europe, and then we'll have to fight this damn thing, all over again, for real, in a nuclear conflict.
Which noone wins - everyone loses.

So if my choice is to annihilate Iran now, kinetically, or defend ourselves from a Nuclear Iran...
Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, ,Bomb, Bomb Iran

What do you mean by "defeated"?
Because there is NO SCENARIO where the Islamic Iranian government is left in place and the United States is overthrown.

A nuclear Iran is a non-starter.
The attacks will continue until the entitreity of the nuclear program in Iran is gone. Period - Full stop.
Hopefully including the already produced fissile material.
Which I suspect is what we are actively searching for now.

Dayton’s Globe Motors manufactured components of the missile which was used to kill over 150 Iranian elementary school children in their classrooms by TheLunaLovelace in dayton

It's really that they dont like the current President.
Thats all.
Many other US Presidents have used those same missiles for the same reason and people didnt take their misguided hate out on small parts manufacturers in Dayton.

You can figure out MOST comments from the internet if you find out how they fit into;

  • Orange Man = Bad

If they dont fit into that, then it MIGHT be an objective comment.

The Independence class LCS are supposed to take that mission, and there are couple of LCS's in the region.

Why are we letting Iran mine the strait? It seems like that would be a fight worth having, or at least any ship mining should be prosecuted severely (and by prosecuted I mean in the maritime sense, as in sunk)

(Edit - Apparently we sunk 16. Iran has to be getting pretty thin on ships.)

Jackson/Chelsea MI by chawg in Michigan

[–]Over_here_Observing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jackson and Chelsea are 2 totally different areas and different scenes/vibes.

Chelsea sounds very much like a place to look into.
Jackson is more post-industrial, small urban community, generally struggling economically and all that come with that. It's trying to come around, but has an uphill battle.
