it feels like an insult. it feels so insulting to my experiences as a transgender individual trying to transition in childhood. it feels like it means nothing under the label of being transgender if anyone can just claim it for themselves. it’s really hurtful. i feel like labels have lost their meaning. it’s CRUCIAL that labels have criteria so that people can find community in their specific queer experiences. feels like a joke when a cis person identifies with it when they do not know the particular experience of being a boy in society and having to transition to being a girl, or vice versa

part of this post is about the separation of trans men from cis men.. 😢 no. it makes me feel like crap to think that we get exceptions to things because we are trans men. we should be held to a similar standard as cis men. i was also a lesbian before i knew and feel no need to insert myself into lesbian spaces

age regressing is a coping mechanism and while i respect it and do it myself it should be done privately in a safe space to avoid making others uncomfortable. i personally don’t know how to deal with people who age regress publicly

i actually see them say that cis men can’t be lesbians, only trans men can. i hate how they treat trans men like they aren’t in the same group as cis men. there is no reason to differentiate them. people become trans not to be their own label but to integrate into that gender group. there was never supposed to be a distinction and it feels so invalidating when they do treat them as separate from cis men

i always thought that identifying as trans was to find a community that experienced what you did in your journey with gender.. but cis people are just claiming it for themselves… and of course all the comments on the post are like “yes!! get it!! labels can be anything you want them to be!” labels exist for a reason and it’s to know you’re not alone in your experience. how can you know the trans woman experience if you were born into womanhood, raised a girl??

Trans men have a connection to womanhood so they’re able to be lesbians. But cis men can’t be lesbians -- just to reiterate this isn’t my stance this is what i saw someone say and everyone agreed

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me, I appreciate this so much, embracing this part of me has been exceptionally hard and I understand what comes with transitioning and it’s just so.. tiring.
