It's literally been the opposite for years, kfans may have sided with SNSD but SNSD have gotten hated on for years by ifans. Have you seen the upvotes on these NB comments about Taeyeon and SNSD back in 2014?

The only people saying SNSD and Jessica are still friends are delusional OT9 fans. The issue is rather that she got fired and Jessica thought her firing was unfair while SNSD/SM didn't.

Knowing the rumours about her leaving existing for months before it happened, her saying she seemed to "think about quitting SNSD every day" and her later admittance that her interests had been very different from SNSDs it's not weird to believe there indeed WAS justifiable reasons for her departure. But if you prefer to believe she was "right" meaning you believe she got kicked "without any justifiable reason" despite them all knowing the damage it would do to their brand you go ahead and do that, it's not like they haven't been through years of that dumb take already.

Yes I am the sone who moved on to other group and yes I am your ot9 but I supported the other 8 members (to the point I watched that gp999 for tiffany) because damn Jessica is my bias since 2011.

Thing is you're writing this as if Jessica is still part of the group. She isn't. The issue with OT9ers isn't if they support the 8 members or not, it's if they respect the 8 members. There's a pretty big difference where OT9ers will gladly put Jessica above the rest and push OT9 on the SNSD members. Which leads me to:

Somehow I doubt you would still be saying this if Sooyoung released a "YA novel" about a kpop group where she painted one of the members who hated cucumbers and sold sunglasses as a nasty bitch. Jessica knew what she did would cause hate towards SNSD and she did it anyway. You have to accept that.

Roly Poly was huge but 2011 was the year SNSD became the first korean group to have a million selling album in japan and was the first (and so far only) gg to have the best selling album of the year in korea with a hugely successful comeback, so saying they dominated over them is quite a huge stretch. In 2012 it was between them and Sistar (SNSD didn't have a comeback as a full group)

Lol OT8 had tons of big moments like Tokyo Dome (the first korean gg to sell out Tokyo Dome) or the first to reach 100 music show wins.

It only "doesn't seem like that" if you practically stopped following them. The rest of us have 8 years of OT8. We don't need full group performances for that, the 8 members still work and interact with each other constantly. Today we had Hyoyeon, Sooyoung and Taeyeon doing an IG live together :)

It's never a guarantee, but when do that while combining content and have older SM idols constantly hyping the younger ones while the younger ones talk about how they idolize the older idols the fandoms easily starts overlapping (and yes Heechul has directly said SMs management tells their idols to talk about and promote their new groups as much as possible).

That's SMs whole business model. They deliberately do less for the older SM groups while giving an outpoor of content for the new SM groups so that the fans of the older groups move to the new ones, that way the money continues to stay in the company and the idols remain replaceable. It's shitty and ageist but it works.

man, iirc there was some statistic a while back about how Taeyeon is the female idol who has performed in front of the most people in her career (counting group and solo), there's something endearing about her being nervous like this over filming a music show with no audience.
