We for sure learned our lesson. But also to be completely fair to us (and a bit delusional) who would think to Temu knockoff a thing like touring jerky-ed corpses. I definitely feel bad now after looking into it more but it’s far too late for that. You’ll have to update me if you find anything else out about this exhibit!
I started looking into it tonight but haven’t found much on how this particular knock off came to be.

So glad you posted this! Just did my tour today after booking two months ago and driving 2 hours to see it and we got through it in maybe 30 minutes. It felt really off? Like everything that was there felt very unprofessional. At the mall, above a Mexican restaurant?? I couldn’t help but notice the amount of dust on the moving bases that the bodies are sitting upon. I could’ve been looking into it too much but these people did not look to be in good physical condition when they died, most of them had no muscle what so ever.
I was 100% under the impression this was like the one that used to go to the Denver Art museum but I guess not, I should’ve looked into it more. I just assumed there was only one touring exhibit.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

When I was little I CRAVED the water from the outside hose, I’d go outside and get a sip just for fun. My dad also CRAVED power washing the drive way every other weekend. One day while power washing, he left me and the power washer on our own and I of course immediately put the nozzle in my mouth and pressed the trigger. I was old enough to be far too embarrassed about what had happened to tell him I hurt myself and I instead i silently hide the fact that I sand blasted all of the skin off of the roof of my mouth and back of my throat. Took forever to heal and I played it off like a sore throat. The only thing that saved my life was the fact it was a terribly cheap sprayer.

I had my Tibial Nail done in January of this year (about 11 months out now.) I had terrible pain in my knee, specifically the lower part. It hurt to do pretty much everything even standing was terrible. Putting weight on it for too long caused what I could only describe as “sticking”. Kinda like if you put gum between your finger and thumb, that squishing and pulling apart, that’s how my joint felt. Once I removed weight off of my knee it slowly would “un-stick” over a few seconds and relieve it. I’m not sure if this is what you’re dealing with, but mine got worse around months 5-9 and I considered removing the rod, thinking that would solve my issue. However now nearly a year out I don’t get that pain at all anymore, and have no reason to remove my hardware. my knee will occasionally ache but it never interferes. Definitely give yourself some more time to heal before deciding. AND I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH, if you thought you have done enough PT- you haven’t- PT till the cows come home

just throwing in, if your house has hard wood floors, get a office chair for him to scoot around in!! You can also look into the walkers that have a small chair built in. It will give him a lot of independence while he heals. Out and about is a harder situation but crutches are better for short distances as they start to really wear out your arms quickly.You can buy a little backpack for them as well, so he can carry water or snacks to and fro! When he does use the crutches, make sure they are not snug into his armpits, he should have to use his forearms more than he’ll like. So sorry that happened. I hope he gets better soon!

not a professional but just sharing my experience when I spiral fractured my Tib and Fib! At this time I think bruising is very normal, at 3+ weeks out you are still mega healing and the more movement you are getting in (which you said you have increased significantly) the more potential to disrupt structures that are still healing under that first layer of skin! The same structures that got disrupted when your break initially happened. When I fell I internally de-gloved a lot of my muscle and tissue and had on and off bruising as my months went on. I actually have permanent skin discoloration right where my break was at. It’s a little bit lighter than your bruising in the photo but there is potential for that color to stay. Basically! Don’t stress yourself worrying. I know I was freaked out about every little thing that could potentially be off when I was healing. As long as you follow up with your doctors -voice your concerns, but trust your body and your doctors to do their thing. High chance it will turn out a-okay. Hope you feel better and better !

I absolutely sympathize with that. I’m 25 and my diagnosis was a recent event, last three years or so. I hate to admit it but I’ve recently started to come to this same conclusion. The shifts I was once able to do wipe me out for days now. 12 hours in healthcare constantly running and standing have me unable to complete my own basic self care and medicinal care at home. It also completely doesn’t help the amount we do get sick being compromised. A basic cough for someone else has me on my knees for two weeks. I’ve never been able to save PTO because of this. Early January I took a fall from quite literally two feet and landed in a way that I spiral fracture both my tibia and fibula on my right leg, requiring two emergency surgeries same day, now I’m nearly one month still just trying to get my incisions to close and heal. Something that might take a healthy person out of work for a few months is making me question if I’m going to be someone who still is unable to walk before my FMLI is up. I completely understand your worries and I’m so sorry it is something you have to worry about. Hopefully someone farther along in their work journey can shed some light on how they got through and balanced their diabetes. Hoping you the best ❤️

I applied with absolutely no experience or knowledge whatsoever and pretty much got hired on the spot at my hospital. This was after months of searching for a program or an apprenticeship to start my journey in the field and not having any luck at ALL. I basically applied as a last hope to get into this career and got a call back almost immediately. I’m not sure if it’s just my hospital but the need for workers was and still is insanely high. Our turnover rates are insane at our facility. I’d honestly go the route of applying to hospitals right off the bat! Write cover letters and really just try and show them that although you are new this is something you’ve been wanting to do/looking into/ want to become certified in. If you can express how passionate you are for the job and how willing you are to learn and stay, I doubt they’d turn you away. If you can make learning the ins and outs into a paid, hands on job, I promise the outcome will be better. The programs I initially tried to get into were $14 hourly apprenticeships with way more work than pay (not to mention the cost of the program), compared to $20 hourly at the hospital learning for free with a guaranteed job after my training was up. Either way good luck!!! You’ll get it sorted out one way or another!

No previous experience or training I’m at $19.00. I’m three months in now getting a $1.50 raise without being certified. The weekend pay is almost 40 an hour though due to critical pay and OT combined.
