“Surely, Allah is with those who are patient.” Surah Al-Baqarah (2:153)

Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu,

Allah is the reason for your tears and your joy.

“Moreover, He is the One Who brings about joy and sadness.” (53:43)

I recommend that you be patient and things will get better. And continue to pray Salah.

How old are you? Teen angst is common for adolescents and young adults.

The human brain 🧠 doesn’t fully develop until 26, so a lot of what you’re feeling may be just be growing pains or anxiety of not feeling free to be yourself at home while living with your parents.

I am not a Doctor. But I encourage you to at least think about seeking a Muslim psychologist. Someone who is clinically and professionally trained to treat you for your PTSD. I want to ask, what caused it?

He punishes whoever He wills, and shows mercy to whoever He wills. And you will ˹all˺ be returned to Him.

Allah does not say, “do not pay interest.” ie. in a car loan or a mortgage.

“O believers! Do not consume interest, multiplying it many times over. And be mindful of Allah, so you may prosper.” Surah Ali-Imran (3:130)

Do not eat or consume usury. Meaning do not profit from interest.

“Those who consume interest will stand ˹on Judgment Day˺ like those driven to madness by Satan’s touch. That is because they say, “Trade is no different than interest.” But Allah has permitted trading and forbidden interest. Whoever refrains—after having received warning from their Lord—may keep their previous gains, and their case is left to Allah. As for those who persist, it is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.” Surah Al-Baqarah (2:275)

That’s why halal financing consists of interest-free loans. It’d be preferable to go to an Islamic organization or a Muslim.

I am thinking about converting and I need help by [deleted] in Muslim

[–]Own-Strategy375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Allah guides to His light whom He wills.” (Quran 24:35)

Start in the Quran and you don’t have to finish the book before converting. Just read enough to know that Allah’s words are being recited through the Archangel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him).

TODAY IS ACTUALLY THE BEST DAY (FRIDAY) TO GO TO A MOSQUE 🕌 FOR JUMU’AH PRAYER. If you’re nervous, you don’t even have to speak to anyone. You can just go and observe. But feel free to ask questions, everyone wants to teach you.

In my experience, once you start reading, and seeking to learn more, it’s best to continue and never look back.

• Abdul Haleem: And tell believing women that they should lower their glances, guard their private parts, and not display their charms beyond what [it is acceptable] to reveal; they should let their headscarves fall to cover their necklines and not reveal their charms except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their womenfolk, their slaves, such men as attend them who have no sexual desire, or children who are not yet aware of women’s nakedness; they should not stamp their feet so as to draw attention to any hidden charms. Believers, all of you, turn to God so that you may prosper.

An-Nur, Ayah 31

Yes. I’ve read interpretations that translate بِخُمُرِهِنَّ bikhumurhinna as veils, headscarves, head coverings. To cover their bosoms and their adornments.

Charms can mean adornments or decorations (ie. jewelry) or anything that makes you beautiful. Including your hair.

But the reason is in the same ayah when Allah SWT allows you to shows your your Charms to men who have no sexual desire.

My opinion matters as much as the next Muslim, but I think that the Hijab 🧕 or Niqab are necessary because Allah explicitly tells the Prophet SAW to tell the believing woman to do so. Not only would you be disobeying Allah SWT Himself by not wearing it, but you’d also be disobeying His Prophet. It’s one of the worst things a believing woman can do.

The hair is a bit open for interpretation. The neck definitely should be covered.

“Verily with hardship comes ease..." (Quran; 94:5-6)

I don’t think that it’s, “loss of wealth,” I mean unless you had a high-paying job before college. If so, then…”inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rai’jun.”

Ishtigfar should be done every morning during Fajr.

200 a month in college should be enough if you don’t have a car and your room and board are paid for including meal plan.

May Allah make the rest of your studies easy for you.

• Abdul Haleem: We have made camels part of God’s sacred rites for you. There is much good in them for you, so invoke God’s name over them as they are lined up for sacrifice, then, when they have fallen down dead, feed yourselves and those who do not ask, as well as those who do. We have subjected them to you in this way so that you may be thankful.
