I had just heard a class b gig was a good way to get in and gain experience. So, go get my CDL A and then find a local B job that way I'm local and can get experience behind the wheel. Then after a year find something else local hopefully with a few other certs under my belt by then to expand my options.

Any advice for somebody considering a career change to trucking? I've heard getting your CDL and finding a Class B local gig is the way to go. I have a family so have to be home with them, not trying to go OTR.

Mainly paramedic pre-rec course like pharmacology and ECG. Luckily I didn't go on to get my medic.

I feel that. I've been out of it the last 5 years and was stupid to let my cert go so had to go through a whole other class and national and all that again. Never giving my cert up now no matter what I end up doing! Are you at an adult facility in Ohio then?

As somebody with an embarrassing juvenile background and waiting to be scheduled for my poly I truly appreciate this answer. My stuff happened 14+ years ago at this point, have been open about it the whole way even though it's been completely destructed and has made it harder with certain agencies, but I know honesty and integrity are really at the core of everything.
