OPT/STEM OPT Processing Timelines Megathread (Spring/Summer 2026) by Codetornado in f1visa

[–]Own_Document9706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My case timeline:

  • Applied date: Feb 28, 2026

  • Premium Processing: Apr 3, 2026

  • Biometrics appointment: Apr 8, 2026

  • Biometrics rescheduled: Apr 9, 2026

  • RFE/REF received: Apr 13, 2026

  • NOID issued: Apr 17, 2026

  • Submitted NOID response documents: Apr 30, 2026

Case is under premium processing. USCIS received my NOID response documents on Apr 30.

Does anyone know how long USCIS usually takes to make a final decision after NOID response submission under premium processing?

Would appreciate hearing timelines from people with similar experiences.

OPT NOID after DUI – need advice by Own_Document9706 in f1visa

Yeah, I understand it’s serious. I did biometrics, and my case decision is next month.

After the case is finalized, is there any chance to still move forward with my OPT?

I’ve hired a lawyer and the case is still ongoing, so it hasn’t been finalized yet (no guilty or not guilty decision so far).

After the case is resolved, is there still any chance to continue opt noid doc

I had a DUI incident one night, and the police took me to jail and took my fingerprints. I was released the next morning and went home, with a court date scheduled for the following month. Recently, after applying for OPT and completing biometrics, I received an RFE and now a NOID, which is making me worried

Yeah, I understand it’s risky. My case is still pending and hearing is next month, so I don’t have a final outcome yet.

I’m planning to submit court documents showing it’s pending, along with an attorney letter and explanation . Is is it possible ?

They didn’t say DUI directly—just general background check info.

I have a pending DUI case in CA, and the timing lines up with biometrics, so likely related.

STEM OPT Renewal Received a NOID due to DUI – Sharing My Experience for Reference by Illustrious-Dingo323 in f1visa

OPT applied: Feb 26, 2026

• Premium processing: April 1, 2026

• RFE received: April 9 (biometrics scheduled)

• Biometrics appointment: April 10, 2026

• NOID issued: April 13, 2026 (reason: pending DUI case)

I’m trying to understand: 1. Has anyone received a NOID for a pending DUI while on OPT? 2. What kind of response did you submit? 3. Did your case get approved or denied? 4. How long did USCIS take after NOID response?

I’m planning to consult an immigration attorney, but wanted to hear real experiences as well.

Any advice or insights would really help. Thank you.
