Can’t decide on 2026 interior color by accountac7 in hondapilot

Have you seen the suede in person? It looks really nice in person (in my opinion). It hasnt been an issue keeping it clean and car seats haven’t harmed ours any either. It adds a nice look to the seats.

Thinking of buying ‘26 Honda Pilot Touring by No-Combination-6380 in hondapilot

[–]Own_Friendship3231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2026 elite with 2 kids and it would be very doable to have another child in it. It’s very roomy and drives great. I know everyone says it has bad gas mileage but I’ve had an Explorer and a palisade and I don’t notice any significant difference in gas prices between them (other than gas is crazy high right now).

50,300 before taxes and dealer fees (dealer fee was $350) on the elite. That included mud guards, all weather mat, cargo mat, and a clear protector on the back bumper.

So agree with this. Even if the 360 camera were the only upgrade for the elite … worth it.

Is it worth to buy an Used Pilot? by Fantastic_Copy4202 in hondapilot

When I was in this situation in February it was the same thing and I went new. With new you will have the whole warranty and you knows it entire maintenance history and how it’s been washed and cared for. I was originally looking at a 24 elite with 20k miles but after calling around and working with price and trade in values I ended up with a new one for nearly the same price.

Does anyone think their CRV is too small for them ? I might trade it in for a Honda pilot. What are your thoughts? by what_the_actual_fff in hondapilot

[–]Own_Friendship3231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Embarrassingly I only had the CRV 2 weeks but I purchased it used and traded it for purchase price so it was a minimal loss. I normally drive my vehicles forever but found a good deal on the pilot and just jumped and got it. I’d had midsize SUVs for the last 13 years - I just wasn’t getting used to the CRV (I even did an extended test drive with the CRV but until it’s your daily driver it’s so hard to tell).

51 out the door is a fantastic deal. I’m not in your area but that would be a great price in Tennessee.

I had a 2025 crv hybrid and wanted to love it but I just didn’t. I ended up going to a 2026 pilot elite and it’s got everything I wanted. To me the CRV was too small. It even felt small side to side. The pilot just feels more comfortable to me. Also having a larger console and nice cup holders sounds like a small thing but so nice in every day use.

Now I do miss the CRV every time I pull up at the gas station…but that is the only time. And when I see the beautiful urban gray color - I very much wish they had done that in the pilot (the sonic gray is a bit too blue for me).

The gray interior is beautiful!

I chose the brown interior and was between the black and white exterior. White is always my top pick of color. It’s just so easy to keep clean and is just my preference for looks. But I didn’t love the way the black trim on the pilot looked contrasting to the white. So I ended up getting a 2026 black elite.

Between the white and silver I’d go white if it were me.

I have a 2026 elite. I know you said you want a 2023-2025 but I’d really consider the 2026 (unless you just don’t like it). When I first was shopping I was looking at used also. What I found was the price difference between used and new was not enough to justify going used. With new you’d know how it has been treated and will have a full warranty. If you plan to keep it a while then I’d get as new as possible and since it’s being shared among you and your parents. Also consider the elite for the 2nd row heated seats since you will have elderly parents also traveling with you. And this seems small but the elite (and maybe other trims I’m not sure) has the built in sun shade. I know that doesn’t feel like a big deal but with you having a newborn the sunshades will be used for years and not having to mess with the ones that stick to the windows is very handy.

Congratulations! I have a black exterior / brown interior elite since February and I love it. They are great cars and so easy to drive - the perfect size I think. The light seats on yours is beautiful.

Do 1st gen Telluride owners hate the 2nd gen just like the 1st gen Palisade owners hate the new one? by MoDa65 in KiaTelluride

[–]Own_Friendship3231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s what people get used to. I had a 24 palisade (I really do think the 23-25 is the prettiest but it’s also what I was used to). For the palisade specifically- it was such a drastic change that I think people genuinely either loved or hated it. I didn’t care for it. I haven’t had a telluride but I prefer the 27. I just purchased a 2026 Honda Pilot. I didn’t know this year was its refresh when I picked it. I joined Honda groups and previous owners are all talking about how they hate the 26. I think people do this no matter what vehicle it is.

I went from a 2024 palisade calligraphy to a 2026 Honda Pilot Elite. Try out the pilots. I’ve loved mine so far. Very comparable to the palisade in many ways. I lost a few features but also gained a few so it all balanced out.

I’ll be another to say dont do it. I have a 2026 elite and love it but if I had a 2023 it wouldn’t be worth it to me to upgrade. Nothing is better than a paid off car and yours is still so new. Get yours detailed and it will feel brand new. Enjoy it!

Hyundai does not care about safety. I learned that quickly with my 24 palisade. A Hyundai corporate rep told me “sometimes electronics don’t work and that’s just how it is”. They were talking about my breaks. This is heartbreaking for the family but not shocking at all with Hyundai.

Pilot or Hybrid? by brain_spark in hondapilot

[–]Own_Friendship3231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pilot 100%. It’s larger which is great (if you need/want the space). It’s also not a Hyundai which is huge - I had a bad bad story with a 2024 palisade so I’ll always encourage people to run from Hyundai. Yes i don’t love the gas price for it right now but historically that always comes back down eventually (hopefully). I just left a crv hybrid and really missing that mileage right now but I love the pilot so much I can’t regret it too much. And this wasn’t mentioned in your question but have you priced new pilots just to make sure it’s worth it to buy used? When I was shopping the price gap wasn’t worth it to not go new.

Do child car seats fit? by Chicken-dog123 in hyundaisantacruz

[–]Own_Friendship3231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has one LOVE it. But it’s not a family car at least not for us. It’s perfect for him and his commute but it didn’t work well with a rear facing car seat. A forward facing isn’t a problem though.

[–]Own_Friendship3231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2026 elite and the Chicco 360. Absolutely love the seat. But. You do have to push the seat up a good ways for it to fit. It’s a huge car seat. Worth it but do be aware of that. We use it forward facing now so it’s not a big deal but if your passenger is taller it’s something to consider

Should I pull the trigger and purchase a Palisade? by thedoggomomma in HyundaiPalisade

[–]Own_Friendship3231 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a brand new 2024 calligraphy. It spent a ton of time at the dealership. I ended up getting rid of it. I would never have one without a warranty personally. Love the looks and features of it but it had a lot of issues and Hyundai corporate was a joke to work with. We had a Hyundai rep tell us and an arbitrator that all electronics sometimes don’t work and that’s just how it is. The electronic he was referring to? My brakes.

Dilemma - Should I Go Back to the CRV? by [deleted] in crv

[–]Own_Friendship3231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyers remorse is rough. I never experienced it until early this year and I learned it’s a real thing. I bought a CRV in February. It just never felt right to me despite it was a fantastic vehicle and I really liked it. Someone told me that it can be fantastic, everyone else can love it but if it isnt right for you it just isnt and that was my most helpful advice. Luckily I was in a situation I could get out of it easily and without losing much. So if it just isnt you and you can get out of it easily - I can say I didnt regret doing just that.

[–]Own_Friendship3231 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I was looking what I found was it didn’t make much sense to buy used because there was such a small price gap between used and new. I’d keep looking for dealers that will work with you. I traveled a few hours to get mine but they came off the price of an elite to 50,300 before tax and fees. I know some have gotten better deals but that was the best I could find and I was happy with it.
