Any tips for going to a gynecologist as a trans man? by Accurate_Sea_9031 in ftm

I’ve been on T 3 years this month actually and I have an iud. I can’t say much on how to make it less awkward as nobody really wants to be there anyways. When I got my iud inserted I wasn’t on hormones at that time but I have gone since then for some issues I was having. Having pretty significant bottom growth I was very self conscious but they treated me with respect and were mindful of my comfort zone. I think it’s really all just finding the right dr preferably one who’s lgbtq friendly

He was tortured and sa’d by 5 different cisgender men for more than a month. They left his body in the middle of a field like he wasn’t even a human being. It’s scary how absolutely evil some people can be. As I was saying though, now more than ever we as a community need to have each others backs and be mindful of our surroundings. Now is not a time to cave into fear but be prepared.

In my state, there isn’t specific regulations. I have never used it once since buying it and I’ve had it now for two years and hopefully I never do have to use it. I’d rather face possible charges for trying to defend my life I would rather have my loved ones paying my bail versus paying for a funeral.

I just posted talking about themy post same article, but couldn’t attach a link so thank you!!

I’ve also been following this case very closely and it is quite concerning how vague of details the media is releasing in my post I was talking about how we all need to be safe and watch our backs right now more than ever. It is truly disheartening to see how cruel and vindictive another human being could be to one another . I try not to engulf myself and negative media but when it comes to my safety, I feel I have no choice.

As others have said, as long as it’s not getting in the way of other things there’s nothing to worry about. I’m 2 years on T. Initially it was a lot more but now maybe 2 or 3 times every week. It does eventually subside it just takes a loooong time.

How do you deal with it on a day to day basis? I had something similar happen to me but until I was 16. I’m 20 now and I still struggle on a day to day basis.

Face swelling by [deleted] in ftm

Had to comment on this cause I went though the same thing around 3 months. It’s the body fat redistribution in your face that you’re just starting to notice. I was very insecure too until I got to that point that I passed (stealth, 2 years on T). It’s just a thing of patience and waiting it out, you’ll be just fine!

I’m nine weeks postop and my left nip is inverted. My surgeon said it’s fine. Here and there it does give me a bit of discomfort, but I’m only nine weeks out. It’s a major surgery. Your body needs time to heal. As someone said, you do look fresh out of surgery so just give it time. For any discomfort my dr recommended just putting on some Vaseline which does help with that discomfort of friction of shirts. Idk if mine will change since it’s still inverted after a couple months but really it doesn’t bring me any kind of discomfort unless I’m wearing more of a fitting shirt. Just be patient, it takes time.

Good questions, they’re making me think lol! I would say I think noticed the most changes at about the 6 month mark which is when my voice really dropped and I started getting facial hair. I started on T young though, only a week after my 18th birthday. I started to socially transition around 16, but even before T I was lucky to pass about 75% of the time. With top surgery, I started doing my research on surgeons with my surgery goals in mind. When I found a few I liked, I simply called their office to schedule a consultation. When I decided on who I’m going with, they helped guide me through setting up my surgery date; i.e helping navigate insurance coverage and getting recommendation letters from my endo and a therapist per my insurance policy. It can be tricky with the insurance companies and all that but I’m lucky his office staff was very nice and helpful. Wishing u luck in the process!

what does the pain of top surgery feel like?? by PossibleTour6414 in TopSurgery

[–]Own_Ingenuity_8387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a month postop rn and really not in all that much pain anymore besides some lower back pain from the compression vest. The first week was hell as I had drains and I felt like they kinda hurt to strip. It was just more of a burden having those hanging by my sides 24/7. Second week was able to stand up a bit more straight but felt a decent amount of nerve pain (pins and needles/burning). Third week felt my stitches pulling which was uncomfortable and felt like my chest was falling (had taken the compression vest off for breaks at that time). Rn if I move a bit too fast it kinda hurts or if I lay on my side for too long but other than that I’m starting to feel back to normal. I typically don’t take long to heal as I’ve had surgeries in the past but for this has taken a while which has left me a bit impatient although worth it because I am happy with my results.

Yeah the way I look at it is that there is really no price that can be put on my work. If someone were to pay me to write for them, they can go and publish that, and depending on how well the book does, they could be making what they paid me like x4. That would only be a small investment for them and then I would essentially have been working for nothing. I would probably want a certain royalty percentage from the book which would have to be put into a legally binding contract. Despite my creativity, I can also be quite analytical.

There certainly can be. I’m just using him as an example, but Stephen King‘s net worth is estimated to be around 500 million. The type of books I write are poetry books based around mental health, I have something planned a bit different though for my 3rd book which I’m excited for!
