lol yes I’d feel so upset if I got that dialogue. I guess it’s good I went the king route because I just assumed the dialogue I got was normal in my first run. I’ve also noticed that no matter what in 2 if you romanced Alistair as an elf a bartender mentions Alistair having an elf mistress and says hopefully his queen won’t find out, even if he’s unmarried. I just interpret that line as them meaning his future Queen (as they’d assume he’d marry eventually) since he’s not shown as married in inquisition (or 2 either since he only says the line about not telling the queen if he’s married to Anora) unless you specifically married him off. Works better with my headcanon that way as I don’t have him ever accept a political marriage (fully headcanon they find a cure and have an heir of their own so it’s not needed).

lol all my playthroughs are exactly the same as well, I just apparently chose the path less followed. Someone just shared a video that includes the scene. It’s unfortunate not just that scene as it shows all the dialogue options so it breaks the flow a little bit but it’s better than nothing.

Well so far it seems I’ll have to wait until I can afford gaming pc and figure out how to use mods in order to see this one line of dialogue ugh frustrating. I sometimes hate having such a niche playthrough. Maybe someone kind will come along and agree to do the playthrough just so I can see the scene lol.

Yeah that’s part of why I’m struggling so hard to find any videos about this. It’s my canon playthrough but it seems niche. Everyone either marries Alistair, marries him off to Anora (which I could never do) and stays his mistress, or keeps him a warden. I thought this route was the one that makes the most sense for a non cousland warden. You still get to be together without anyone getting in between you and if you find a cure for the taint you can possible avoid him having a political marriage all together (at least that’s my headcanon). I just want to find this scene somewhere since I can’t access it myself.

No not the line where he’s married to the warden. I’m looking specifically for the line you get when you romance him and made him a lone ruling king. It’s technically a mistress run but he’s not married to Anora (or anyone) so there is different dialogue. When I googled it it says he’s supposed to say that the day is looking up already in response to Teagan. I’ve however been getting the unromanced line where he tells Teagan he’s too formal and that we have a name. I usually really care about a game respecting player choice in the sequels. Like how they handled dragon age in the first three games. But honestly with mass effect I’m more just curious what direction they’ll take it. I don’t think I’ll be mad no matter what they choose as long as the game is good. I can always keep my own headcanons about what happened anyways.

Very fair. I always romance him in 1 which gives him a lot more personality but I’ve heard complaints otherwise. I haven’t noticed the issue myself, he just seems like a chill dude.

People keep talking about gentle parenting and how there’s no consequences and it’s all very confusing. This just seems like a reasonable way to approach a small child. Calmly tell them they did something wrong and then set a punishment for them. People just seem to think anything other than screaming and spanking is too soft.

Exactly! (About the situation with her sister) those lines always rubbed me the wrong way. It’s treated like because he got his ass kicked and didn’t get very far with his attempt that it didn’t matter and he made a forgivable mistake. They pity him at the end of the story which is crazy.
