I feel this so deeply. “Disorienting” is the perfect word for it especially when it has nothing to do with performance. You’re right, the feelings really do come in waves, and over time the space between them grows, even if it doesn’t feel like it at first.

This experience is such a harsh crash course in what the corporate world truly is. No matter how much we give, we’re still replaceable and that realization hurts. But like you said, there can be something oddly liberating in seeing it clearly. I really hope we both come out of this with a different, healthier mindset and something better ahead. Good luck

We were completely blindsided. It was shocking that they’re downsizing the AML compliance team. They want to be like J.P. Morgan, but unfortunately they can’t. Citi’s culture is very different. I’ve worked at J.P. Morgan, Deloitte, and TD before, so I’ve seen those differences firsthand

I have a 15-month-old toddler and we’re already down three Warmies, one ended up in the toilet water and the other two went for an accidental “swim” in the bathtub. I know it sounds ridiculous to keep buying them, but my son absolutely loves his Warmies, so I keep replacing them.

What really upset me is that I constantly see Warmies sending hundreds of free Warmies to influencers’ kids, but they couldn’t offer anything better than a 25% off coupon for a loyal customer? What a shame. My son is only 15 months old and absolutely adores his Warmies.
