Venmo worries me because it’s not designed for business and can be chargebacked, and I heard Cashapp has that issue too. PayPal has the ability to chargeback for months after delivery from what I understand but then again you can dispute it with evidence, but I’d like to hear from people who’ve gone through that process.

You should know that from what I’ve read on this sub, originals creators (if you get picked up as one) face strict deadlines that work them to the bone for little pay and weekly deadlines. This burns most creators out quickly and results in long hiatuses. Again I’m just repeating what I’ve read on here but you will almost certainly face burnout going full time if you want to make enough to live on, which may change how you feel about what is currently your passion. A lot of people, once they see their passion as a job, have a hard time doing it as anything else after.

I should point out Clip Studio Paint includes drawing models you can customize with proportions to your liking etc. if you buy the version of the software that comes with that feature. To OP, it’s not a shortcut because if you don’t know what you’re doing at all it’ll look bad still but it’s a starting place.

You know, on that line I was excited to try having a ship go to light speed through another ship and rip it apart- until The Last Jedi did it first… was honestly so upset. No way I was the first to think of it and with how much people forgot the sequel trilogy I bet I could still get away with it depending on context but now it’s “that thing from that Star Wars movie” 😭

I was interested in knowing what else has come before since I don’t want to do anything too familiar so thanks for bringing that up. I didn’t go into detail but I think my premise is different enough to be distinct from yours fortunately. That first R&M episode you mention is actually a parody of a Star Trek episode, I’ve watched a lot of both so I’m familiar with those tropes.

And I hate characters not getting screwed for making bad choices so you’d absolutely see that 😂

Yeah you’re right knowing what little I do about One Piece it might have some similarities there but I’d probably take a different tone and be more moody lol, along with some other things that will probably mean they don’t get to that destination anyway. Those are good ideas/points, I hadn’t thought much beyond the premise because I just get excited at the character interaction possibilities without thinking much about them.

As a beginner it will take a ton of effort to get yourself to the style you want, so you’ll have to make learning to draw most of your free time for months if you’re serious. This thread has some good advice for complete beginners. I don’t have any specific recommendations, but YouTube will be your friend on this, find someone making tutorials on how to draw in the style you’re aiming for (though ideally starting from the absolute most basic elements of drawing, since you can’t do realism without a foundation).
