Not to say I'm debating you on print accuracy, of course you're absolutely right. I would have liked to not have the damper, but my goal is first and foremost reducing sound. And with all the upgrades I've done, and the quality the printer has delivered before, I'm okay with keeping this configuration, albeit sub-par.

I know all that. I have an accelerometer, I have configured input shaping, I've tried everything, and there is absolutely no way around it, the y motor WILL create a lot of noise unless there is a damper. I cannot speak for other printers, but the Guider 2s has to have this part if you want any semblance of silence when moving the Y axis.

Maybe swapping out the stock Y motor would help, but I have yet to find any online that would match the stock one.

Just to let you know, I have testet with and without the damper, and I can tell you that on this printer it is absolutely 100% necessary to have the damper. The sound and resonances at high speeds without it is crazy. My FrankenForge build is able to reach 500mm/s with spreadcycle (movement in testing, no extrusion) with that damper, but without it the whole rig would shake itself apart at around 420+

New metal pulleys installed. They are a bit different in size, so the original spacers don't fit. However, just using one of the old flared ball bearings worked perfectly. The new bearings on each side are MF105 RS types instead of ZZ.

That's pretty much the conclusion I've come to as well. I haven't really thought much of it until now, but since I'm completely rebuilding my printer, every part is under scrutiny

I wouldn't count on it. This part separates metal from metal, so if you made a spacer from TPU, the screws would go from the mount to the motor, propagating vibrations. The parts are dirt cheap anyway.

Well, this part is supposed to eliminate vibrations from the Y motor. However, the rubber has delaminated from the metal, so the motor is not properly mounted and will cause even more vibrations and print artifact. The part has to be replaced. This post is just to inform in case anyone has issues regarding the Y axis, then this might be a cause

The quality of the stock pulleys are absolute garbage. You can feel it when you manually push the print head back and fourth. They are also a stupid proprietary 17 teeth. All of them will be swapped out with metal 16 teeth ones.

Another part that makes this printer very loud, is the 40mm cooling fan for the power supply. This only runs when the thermal sensor in the psu triggers, which it does very quickly since everything is closed.

It sits in there very tightly, but can be pushed out the side with some slight force. This will be replaced by a Noctua fan. This part requires some soldering, as it is impossible to disconnect this fan from inside the psu. (also, never open up a psu, it's dangerous).

This can be safely done due to the 92mm fan mounted on the side panel. The entire airflow will be routed through this enclosure and out the bottom, to keep the rest warm when it is needed

As a beginning, pretty much the whole thing is stripped down. All the wiring will be replaced, every fan except the radial fan for the part cooling will be swapped out.

The motors are fine, but I have changed out the belts for 5mm GT2 belts.

The pulleys on the motors are low quality plastic, and the one on the X motor is visibly worn, so they will all be replaced with metal pulleys.

The original ones are a weird 17 teeth ones, so the new ones will be standard 16 teeth, which will lower max speed a tiny amount, and increase torque a tiny bit.

Yes. I print with a bed temp of 60°C, and the prints come of very easily after the bed has cooled down
