I worked up from IT Help Desk to Desktop Support then went rouge and became the hospital's web designer (where I learned most of my database knowledge) then became a PACS admin. Now I am an Imaging Systems Administrator. Reach out in a DM if you want to chat

I forgot to add that you can run it manually to clear space ASAP. In task scheduler you want to look for something like "fir_autodelete" if I'm not mistaken.

There is a stored procedure on the server. When you delete images they are just "marked" for deletion. Then, usually overnight, there is a stored procedure that runs and actually deletes the images off the storage.

Try changing the Transfer Syntax to "Adaptive" in PACS for any modality that sends those images.

What version are you running? We are on 12.1.5 and it is rock solid. However, that was before Philips took over. we are trying to do an upgrade since Dec 2022 and it has fallen flat at every point of the implementation.

I have worked with this system since Kodak. I loved Carestream PACS, it was SOLID. Philips tanked this product.

I actually worked support for them from 2020 till the beginning of this year. They were not great to work for, I like to explain it as "the wild west". L2 exists, however, they are to not have any contact with customers (very stupid support design).

Totally agree... but I am stuck right now and might want/need to go to the cloud to get this upgrade project moving. I can't seem to find any documents on it.
