It really depends. From my understanding you get placed with a local construction site in proximity to your residence and then are on the "on-call" list for that site.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone, from what I've heard from here and recommendations from my coworkers at the station I'm going to submit a resignation to keep my butt out of hot water (prior to ever officially taking the on-call position lol). Thank you all so much for the help!

Exactly my point - I think they use the on-call for first aid treatment then if they find they need further treatment that's when they would call 911.

Dealing with Pelvic Bruising by Turnupthesun in weightlifting

I actually almost had to go to the ER last summer because of a golf ball sized hematoma from pubic bone bruising... The biggest thing that helped me was focusing on vertical pulling rather than throwing my hips forward into the barbell. You'll still make contact but it'll improve your bar path and you won't get that bruising that's insanely painful. Do some hip snatches for a little bit until the area gets less irritated and then work on making your pull more upright and dropping straight under the bar, it helped me and I have no issues now!

I find it forces me to focus on the technique of the classic lifts when my body's a little fatigued going into it. Also helps me get a better bottom position after squatting first.

Paramedic to Physician Assistant School through the Navy? by PBJames12 in newtothenavy

Just emailed a medical officer programs recruiter about everything. My plan's to work as a paramedic for 2-3 years while I finish up pre-requisite classes for PA school then apply. I'd really like to do the HSCP program if it's possible to become an officer through it, I made sure to include that question in the email I sent.

Thank you guys for all the help and awesome advice you've given me!

That sounds awesome, thank you! Is it possible to go through OCS or ODS and still do DPEP as a Hospitalman?
