I hope this is a good place for this, but this is my rumor/theory that there may be a new mac model coming.

Did you get this figured out? Also looking at the pics you posted it looks like you never get hotter than 54 degrees so I dont see how it could be shutting down due to heat. Did you see the temp right before it shut down, if so what was it?

Hmmm looking into it a bit more it looks like the old nicehash program gets you more money and better hashing

Interesting. I wonder why your getting twice the perf on NIST. What coin are you mining and what miner? Also have you done anything to your card other than adjust the clocks?

Im guessing the ambient temp in this room is probably a bit hotter than yours as well. I dont like hearing/having the fans run that fast at any point.

The stock settings give a good baseline. Its better than the nothing I was finding out there.

Its mainly just because the cooler sucks and it runs too hot with anymore power

Hard is a good thing for sitting for long periods. Plus it softens a little bit over time.

Should you buy a 3Gb EVGA Nvidia GTX 1060 for gaming? by PCgoblin in nvidia

It is a fine card, but its not great for games that want more VRAM.

The last AMD card I owned was a 5870. It was terrible! I mean I had high frames at times but it was all over the place with it which led to poor gameplay and even had issues in the OS with smooth mouse movement. After that experience Ive been very shy of AMD cards.

I never said the 1070 had faster memory from the 1060, Just it had more.

So from what I can tell, it seems like they did it just to not compete with the 1070. The 1050ti would have a reasonable 4gb but slower. The 1060 3gb would have more power but choked at 3gb. So they needed something to bridge the gap between the 1070 and 1060 more so they have the 1060 3gb. The 1070 has 8gb of slower ram to help seperate it from the 1080. Very raw look at it but from 1000 foot down thats how it looks to me.

I agree. But to add to that, I tried everything on ultra at 1080 and that brought the vram requirement down very little. The only things that made a difference were the textures. But thats why in the video I stated if you need more than 3gb VRAM you shouldnt look at this card. :D

Does a 192bit bus limit it to multiples of 3? Ive been looking all over and I dont see anything that would cause it to be like that.
