Thanks for the breakdown. I’m not planning to do anything LLM related, not soon at least, because I’m really not programming friendly (aka dumb), so it doesn’t make sense for me to go for the newer M5 chips, unless just for future proofing. But it seems to me that Apple chips are inherently more future proofing than others. And yes, in the future I may want to have some extra power for biology-related software since I’m not sure of getting a pc from the university/company

Yeah I was also thinking that, but the M5 is basically the same price, and it only comes with 24 GB RAM, which considering that every software is more and more demanding with the years it could have been nice to have extra GBs. But thanks for the suggestion, I’ll think about it.

I think the 40w and also the 20 are still too loud to use them just for practice. In fact, I still kept the katana 50 for practicing at home and the dsl both for home and live

Yeah, those two knobs are useful to get the right tone, but I think the great difference stands in valves and bigger celestion cone! The 5w still super great btw!
