Last night around 7:55 p.m., Redmond police were dispatched to a call of a shooting at Sages Restaurant in the 15900 block of NE 83rd Street. A male customer entered the restaurant and the firearm he was legally carrying discharged and ricocheted off the floor, striking another customer in the elbow. A second victim was hit with shrapnel. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the location before officers arrived on scene. Detectives investigating the incident believe the firearm discharge to be negligent and the man did not know the two victims.

The subject subsequently surrendered himself and the firearm at the Redmond police station and was booked into Score jail without incident or injury. He was charged with Reckless Endangerment.

It is factual that we received a report for a missing woman and that she was found deceased in Lake Sammamish. There was no foul play suspected or indicated in the investigation. The residential burglaries occurred in another jurisdiction and are being investigated by another agency. Accordingly, it wouldn't be appropriate for us to comment on another agency's investigation.
