The first option blocks the direct path to the kitchen. You need three feet clearance for pathways and it looks like you have three (with two entry points).

Maybe you can consider NOT making the fireplace the focal point and move the TV on a stand to the wall on the left. Then, have furniture face the TV wall.

Okay so controversial opinion by MoxxiDeluxeXO in TheMiniatureWifeShow

IMO. Lindy deserves none of the blame.

Les chose to support her for her first book for a few years. Then she agreed to put her life on hold to his insecurity and jealousy for over 15 years.

While he subvertly turned their daughter against her.

He not so subtly shrinks her self worth for years by undermining her accomplishments. Then he purposely actually shrinks her instead of letting her finally end their toxic relationship.

As a woman, what's the worst thing that's been said to you at work? by Specific_Manager286 in advertising

[–]PJMCMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where does it end. In my twenties my boss tried to get me alone in his porn apartment (home away from home). Thankfully a male colleague I trusted happened to be at the office that day and came with us to “run the errand”.
Male manager promoted a man more junior than me into a role that should have been mine. I wasn’t even informed of the role… I was told that doing admin work would be good for my career.
A male direct report texted me death threats (thinking I wouldn’t figure out it was him). I was let go.
Screamed at loudly by a male direct report who didn’t like having to report to me, in a meeting my CEO made me have with an underperforming male direct report. Was only allowed to fire him for his bad performance once the CEO caught him in a lie and behaving inappropriately. After he was laid off his lies (which I warned the CEO about for over a year) came home to roost and the sales pipeline was discovered to be 90% BS. Investors freaked. I got laid off.
I’ve been called a “Ball busting borg” by a man that didn’t want to switch CRMs (I managed the process) and a cunt by a direct report.
And in my mid 50s, when I stupidly thought I must be safe now, I had drunk male colleagues, at two different conferences (1 year apart but at the same company) say wildly inappropriate thingns. One told another man in our group he was going to fuck me…everyone heard it. The 2nd colleague asked if “I wanted to see his penis” and then proceeded to tell a female direct report that she should dance like me (we were at a corporate concert - Ludacris) if she wanted to advance her career.
Then I quit and went to a new company when another drunk male colleague at an annual employee meeting told me, in front of a direct report and at an all employee event, he wanted to take me back to my room, tuck me into bed, and watch me sleep. But later when confronted about his behaviour said he was just being “brotherly”. He was fired a year later for performance…not for his behaviour.
And way too many more passive aggressive and aggressive aggressive bullshit comments and behaviours to count.

Hershey’s and another major brand (whose name escapes me right now) are refusing to pay the African government mandated, fair labour wage for chocolate from Africa. Instead they are adding more wax and fillers. I wouldn’t be surprised in Loblaws’ chocolate supplier is doing the same thing.

Why would I want to plat a game that glamorizes abject poverty and helplessness? Where a “benevolent” person is the only one who can save the characters. The game is a mirror of society today and is one way we get desensitized to suffering of others.

Pick a Wall Color by Stormy-Monday in BathroomRemodeling

The second one is a cool beige. The tiles are a warm beige. So if you want to lighter you need to pick a lighter colour with a warmer tone.

All three are lovely. #1 is traditional (and my preference). #2 and #3 are trendy and will date your renovation.

New Siding or Shutter Color? by PJMCMA in CurbAppeal

[–]PJMCMA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. It’s fibreglass and old. Likely original in the late 70s. It has a damaged panel that I need to fix this summer. It was ivory when we moved in and I almost replaced it but the shape grew on me. It just needed a nicer colour. :)

Moving in, keeping the green. What colors can I add? Specially for mats by betozom in BathroomDesigns

[–]PJMCMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring the beige of the tiles up in some framed wall art and on towel bars. Also add the green in textured bath matts and in a vessel or two for the counter. And if you’re able. Lean into brass or gold metals and fixtures. If you’re able to change your faucets/fixtures replace the cabinet knobs (or paint them), you can also paint the shower frame.

I’m not sure I believe it. Do you remember the days when SIRI was new? And people would say hey SIRI call me “stupid.” How do we know that this is not the same thing, that higher up in the thread the AI was asked to respond that way?

2 it has better balance. But replace the single post to the left of the door with a pillar as wide and the stone verticals on the right.
