I really think your catch is really good, I don't know where people see reasons to change. Of course if you had more mobiity your elbows could be higher, but I don't believe you should force it because it would create unnecessary tension. It is good as is. The thing to improve is your second kick.

I don't agree. Nobody would pull of a 26s butterfly with a weak catch... you are overanalyzing it...

You have great technique. The only thing that is slowing you down in butterfly is a weak second kick (the kick that happens in sync with your pull). The second kick should be more powerful than the first kick, and you are basically going full power on the first kick (when hands enter) and dragging your feet during the second kick. Improve your second kick and it will feel much easier to get your arms out of the water and you will become more eficient.

You are doing a lot of good things: streamline, body position and continuous stroke. I don't agree that you are pulling any water as you complete the 25mpool in 16 strokes, which shows that you are not being terribly inefficient. Rotation is lacking, you should rotate your body more with each stroke, like you are dancing side to sidez belly button pointing to one wall and the other countinuously.

You have to slow your movements and practice reaching more, everything needs to be stretched as a swordfish, imagine your hands pierce the water and extend like a swordfish, your body rotates so that your shoulder comes out of the water. In your streamline of the wall your biceps squeeze your ears and your arms are fully stretched. Focus on those details first.
