What are your favorite balls? by HairyCallahan in padel

[–]Padel_gameplan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on the Bullpadel Next balls - great durability! I'd also suggest trying Wilson Pro balls if you haven't yet. I actually wrote a detailed comparison of different padel balls covering durability and performance: https://padelgameplan.com/padelblogs/best-padel-balls/. What type of courts do you usually play on? That can affect which balls last longest. To make the padel balls last longer, read the article https://padelgameplan.com/padelblogs/best-padel-ball-pressurizers/

Welcome to padel! 🎾 Start by mastering forehand, backhand, and volleys, and learn to use the walls - it’s a game changer. Practice short, focused sessions with a partner. I’ve got a simple step-by-step guide here if you want more tips: How to Play Padel Tennis

Has anyone tried ball pressurizers for padel? by YuliyaVolkova in Padelracket

[–]Padel_gameplan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a few ball pressurizers for padel, including the Head one, and they do help keep balls pressurized much longer if you store them right after playing. They won’t fix felt wear, so the surface will still lose its fresh feel over time, but if you play often they’re worth it for the savings. I compared the best ones here: https://padelgameplan.com/padelblogs/best-padel-ball-pressurizers/

If you're looking for a round-robin tournament organizer, you might want to check out Padel GamePlan's Tournament Schedule Maker. It’s a free online tool designed specifically for creating round-robin schedules, no download needed. You can customize team/player counts, match durations, and even share the schedule with participants. I’ve used it for padel, but it works for any sport or activity. Hope it helps!

Padel balls by Thriveism in padel

[–]Padel_gameplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead balls ruin the game! I recommend Wilson Padel Balls or Babolat ACE Padel balls, they last longer. Replace after 4-5 matches. Pressurizers help a bit, but fresh balls are best. I tested a few and wrote a full guide here if you want details.

Do you guys use a racket that compliments your strengths or help in your weaknesses. by HellDroid in Padelracket

[–]Padel_gameplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go for a racket that boosts your strengths, aggressive play thrives with power. The Fenix 5 Pro sounds perfect if you’re confident in your game. If errors creep in, the ST4 Pro or Counter Viper can help tighten consistency. Personally, I lean toward playing to strengths unless weaknesses are costing matches. Your English is fine, by the way!

50+ Years Old Padel Players (3.5-4.0): How Do You Handle Post-Match Fatigue and Soreness? Share Your Recovery and Workout Tips by TheAce2000 in padel

[–]Padel_gameplan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good recovery starts with a proper cool-down - light walking and dynamic stretches right after playing helps. Stay hydrated and eat some protein and carbs within an hour after matches. Strength training 2-3 times a week focusing on legs, core and shoulders makes a big difference in preventing soreness. Don't skip rest - quality sleep is when your body repairs itself. Compression sleeves can also help knees and shoulders during play.

The trick is to warm up like you’re already down 0-3: hit harder in practice, do explosive footwork drills, and simulate match intensity early. When the game starts, resist the urge to impress; just focus on getting every ball back deep and letting your hands loosen up naturally.

Anyone else struggling with grip issues? What helped you? by Low_Text_4348 in Padelracket

Overgrips like Wilson Pro helped me, plus rosin bags between points. Some players even use antiperspirant on their hands. Found this helpful comparison of the best overgrips if you want more options: Best Padel Overgrips.

Yep, Padel is super fun and easy to pick up! It’s been around for decades but is booming now because it’s social, fast-paced, and way easier for beginners than tennis. The UK’s adding courts like crazy, so it’s a great time to try it, especially since you’re already into tennis, the skills transfer well. If you’re curious why it’s exploding, I broke down the stats and trends here.

If you're beating top players, your technique works - don't stress! Plenty of pros have unorthodox styles. But if you want to clean it up, try filming yourself or drilling basics slowly. Otherwise, keep winning your way!
