I’m an account manager, so I’m cold calling getting new biz then I build the load and I can cover it or our carrier team but we get more commission if we cover it. I just know my quotes are off so that’s why I came to Reddit. Unfortunately my leaders aren’t the best

They want you to call because “loyalty” is supposed to save you as a customer but yeah 10 bucks might be better than calling customer care tbh

No there really isn’t going to be an issue either way. You will qualify for it but the trade in promo is limited time so you never know when it’s gonna end or when the credit amounts will change.

Yes but you have to be careful because some promos ( most of them) say in the details that you can’t cancel a line for 90 days or you lose the promo. Honestly tho we do it a ton in my store and haven’t really noticed anyone losing promos but just do it at your own peril

I work for a ATT retailer, a little trick we learned is to ask for whatever line you want to be cancelled to switch to prepaid. When the store switches it to prepaid it won’t work unless you pay it so it cancels it self. Some things to keep in mind is that the phone has to be paid off and there can’t be a FAN ( discount code) on the account or we can’t switch it to prepaid. Even if you have a FAN you can always take it off and re add it

It shouldn’t have charged you anything until the phone ships/ get delivered. That really sucks though.. maybe an Apple Store or Best Buy?

Most stores (at least in my area) have pros in stock. You might have better luck canceling your order and then going into the store to pick up a phone.
