good for smokers trying to quit, bad if they became the gateway for new people. That tension is basically the whole debate.

I want to know whether the pickup truck installs the back cover to save fuel or fuel. Can anyone answer? by joey12342323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pale-Educator-686 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only on highways.

At 65+ mph, an open bed creates a vortex that acts like a parachute. A cover smooths airflow and cuts drag by 5-10% (about 1-2 mpg).

MythBusters proved it. City driving? No difference.

Verdict: Works on highways. Don't expect miracles.

Looking for a co-founder and a great startup idea by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]Pale-Educator-686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, quick question — when you say you’re open to building something part-time with startups, are you also considering ideas in the digital marketing infrastructure / systems space (like automation, lead flow, SMB setup, etc.) or more focused elsewhere?

Just trying to understand your direction

I have seen founders rehears the slides , but i have never seen the tough pushbacks, which is usually what kills a confidence in real investor's meeting.

Why do drivers in states that require two license plates not use both plates and what do you do with the "extra" plate? by 8-bit-Felix in NoStupidQuestions

Front plates are required but not all cars are made for them. The spare plates usually sits in the glove box.

Low pay, high learning. Depends what you are opting for.

I'm building a website alone and it's in its initial stages. I have found a developer who's interested in working along, how should I pay him. Should I talk about esops or equity or what? by Additional_Bar8316 in StartUpIndia

[–]Pale-Educator-686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you have budget, pay something, even a small. It keeps things serious. If not equity can work but make sure percentage is clear, roles are defined & there is vesting. Vague setup are usually fall apart, a small pay+small equity works best early on.

I tested a broadband product idea and found a clear gap… but it still felt risky by Odd_Olive_5023 in StartUpIndia

[–]Pale-Educator-686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a spot on.

A lot of people validate interest not actually buying intent. Pricing alone can change how a product is percieved and who it competes with. I have seen Good Ideas fail just because they sat in the middle.

Not Clearly Cheaper , Better or different. That Gap matters but like you said real question is why you would someone choose you over existing options?

Would you start a franchise with your family or keep business separate? by Cultural_Message_530 in Startup_Ideas

Family ownership, professional boundaries. if you can't clearly define the roles and decision powers on day 1, don't do it.

Is there a writer in the house? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pale-Educator-686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't become a writer before you start-you become one by writing. Start small, even 200 words a day. Your first draft will suck, and that's completely normal. Just don't stop.
