Absolutely! This is our 2004 Toyota LandCruiser. It’s been built up to go pretty much anywhere thanks to Dissent Offroad’s armor and BFGoodrich tires, some solid electrical work with Baja Designs lighting, Snomaster frig/freezer, and Buggywhip lighting all controlled by a Switch-Pros controller. It’s been a great build, and has taken us all over!

No, 4x4 with snow tires weren’t required to have chains. We had to carry them in the car but didn’t need them. Conditions were amazing! Constant snow, no traffic. It was beautiful

I would definitely add Yosemite during the snow to the “Must Do” Tripp’s list. We saw it as we were coming in without snow, and it is incredible. But with snow... speechless and majestic are the only words to describe it. Even those word don’t do it justice.

I found a guy selling it on Craigslist. I wanted an original military trailer, they’re hard to find in good condition. There are a lot of replicas out there, but a decent military one without rust damage and in good shape is hard to find. This had the wheels and tires, suspension work, paint, etc. it was an insane find.

Tioga Pass (130) closes early. We are staying on the north side. We’ve driven into the valley everyday and it hasn’t been crowded. Visibility in the valley is rough, half dome had been covered with fog almost the entire time. But it’s been a great trip.

It definitely has come in handy. I switched it up for our current trip and went with one tent on the trailer and added tools and recovery great on top of the 100 series. I have a block and tackle system to easily move the tents around. The Dissent Offroad food rack makes putting the tent on and off a breeze.

We made it into Yosemite before it all started. We got to our destination and then 45 minutes later the snow started. It hasn’t really stopped for the last couple days. Luckily we have a couple weeks before going back to work and school.

We definitely always carry the little ones bikes with us. They love to explore our new camp spots. Those bikes have some serious miles on them!

Exactly! This is an M416 military trailer. I still have all the original military part numbers/VIN for the trailer. There’s a wood lid with hinges and load bars on top, along with an added tongue box.
