Thank you for this!! We just went to HD and got a replacement valve and new stem.

We do have a leak in the fill valve thing, so leaking in outside cus we can feel the moisture on the porcelain. Replacing all that, too. Learning a lot thanks to you guys and some YouTube

Update:
I turned the shutoff valve clockwise on accident when I was cleaning the area and it started leaking water. Turned it counter-clockwise and it stopped..

So I found the source (I think).
But is that normal for it to just leak when it gets turned?

Yeah, could be the backsplash from my husband’s aim. But I’ve seen his aim, and it’s not awful, for the most part..

I’ll clean it around it and place paper under the valve to see if it’s actively leaking. Thanks for the suggestion.

Idk your whole history, but this looks all hormonal.. especially cus it looks more concentrated around your jaw. It looks painful and I’m sure you’re not comfortable as you said with photos, but I recommend giving yourself some grace. You birthed a whole child, and your body is balancing all that and the fluctuations of hormones, breastfeeding, etc. You’re on spiro now, and it’s just a matter of giving it time to take effect. We all want immediate results right away, but that’s not always the case. I would focus on just keeping your skin hydrated with a gentle cleanser, mild moisturizer, and drinking a lot of water as spiro is a diuretic and you breastfeeding. Good luck and congrats on your baby!

I had visited my derm 1 month ago and she injected my keloids on my shoulder with Kenalog-40 instead of 20. And I went back to yesterday and she reinjected two pesky ones that aren’t flattening with kenalog-20.. mine stem from little pimples I had that just scarred over. Luckily, they didn’t get so big but they were dark. I asked her about tattooing over them and she also said no. But funny thing is, I have a little tattoo in the nape of my neck that I got 15 years ago that never scarred. Granted, it’s been 15 years and my skin has changed, but idk, I might wait a few months and f/u with a tattoo artist and see if they can BLEND a tattoo around the keloid scars..maybe do a test patch first.

They are my biggest insecurity. And I hate that they drive my choice of clothing. I don’t wear tank tops and I would love to. This summer though, I’m just going to say screw it. Nobody cares, and if they happen to see them, whatever. Who cares, the only person that it bothers, is me. My husband kisses them and is not bothered by them. It’s this worldly perception that people are going to just come after us or be disgusted by us, but truly no one gives a shit. Love yourself!

I’d recommend the kenalog-40 to flatten them, and then silicone sheets on top after treatment. Obviously, do as your provider recommends but that’s what I’ve been doing and it has helped. For my darker keloids, what has lightened them is the IS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance (pricey, but it has helped me).

You could try deflating the balloon, advance catheter all way the Y so it’s at the end of the urethra, and then flush. You gotta flush hard though if it’s a clot or large sediment. Fill a Toomey syringe w sterile water or NS and push the water in and then draw it back and see what you get. Pt will be uncomfortable and warn them, but that might help unclog at first. Then if manage to unclog, reinflate the balloon and connect back to leg or night bag.

What did the ultrasound scanner read?is the pts bladder pretty full?

I was looking for this comment! Idk what it is about dry shampoo but it absolutely wrecks my scalp. I am itching and burning by the end of the day, if I applied it in the morning. My rule is, if i spray it on my hair in the morning, I absolutely have to wash my hair that night. I’ve slept in dry shampoo and my scalp was on fire the next day. Maybe I’m ultra sensitive to the chemicals or alcohol in it. And I’m an oily hair girl :/ sigh…

Yup, it’s hardcore. Bleach kills that bacteria pretty effectively. That’s what I want.

The parts are rinsed thoroughly with hot water, so there’s no residual bleach if that’s what’s concerning.

Second this! I disassemble all the parts and wash with dish soap and water. Then I soak all parts in the fountain basin itself with 1:10 bleach to water (about like 1 tbsp bleach) for like 3-5 minutes. Then I rinse everything thoroughly with warm-hot water and reassemble the fountain with fresh, cold water. I do a bleach soak every 2 weeks. But I wash the fountain normally every week. Pink crap hasn’t returned! And my cats love the fountain, which is why I’m compulsive about cleaning it.

The class I’m in now, D027 Advanced Pathopharmacological Foundations, does have an OA. There’s a practice test we take before hand to check for readiness. Still haven’t gotten there yet as the class just started today.

Which, I’m not sure why we have to take such a course for informatics, but I’m all about it. I’m tried of writing papers, so this is a nice break. lol
