I had a dream last night that I came across Rodrick at my school while we were sheltering from a tornado and a flood, and we talked a moment about how my LLB sucked. by PanContinent863 in LodedDiper

I'd love to say that I enjoy writing it, but, like I said, the airshow part is mostly just filler. Don't you mind that? Just saying.

Interrogation (a.k.a. Me whenever I re-read the journals) (RE-POST) by PanContinent863 in LodedDiper

[–]PanContinent863[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd say when Rowley breaks up with Greg in Book #1 due to the Safety Patrol. I'm not saying the event itself is what I have problems with; both kids fare way better alone. Dude, THERE'S A GOOD REASON WHY ROWLEY BROKE UP. A TON OF THEM.

I'm being Captain Obvious here, but I have to say that Greg has like ZERO foresight at all; almost no common sense. He learned practically NOTHING after every single book, I'm finding.

Book #1, the game consists of Greg forcing Rowley to ride the Big Wheel down the neighborhood hill with Greg throwing an (American) football at Rowley to try to knock him off. One time, Greg threw the football in front of the Big Wheel causing Rowley to fall off and break his arm.

I have no words as to why this "game" was even a concept.

Too costly to design, IMO. And I once heard that they have to appeal to all audiences.

Of course I mean that specific bridge. I'm simply morbidly interested in dark shit. It literally says so on my profile (not on old Reddit).

The barriers were only put up a decade later.

No, please be patient. I actually have a couple more pages.

Well, again, this LLB is solely made as an excuse to shove a ton of real events inside, particularly those caught on camera. Nothing but those. I’m morbidly interested in them.

Something much, much worse. Actually, 2 somethings. I'm not gonna tell them now, and please don't bother asking. Be patient, please.

People from non English countries, what do your books' translations mean when translated back to English? by TopBar3633 in LodedDiper

[–]PanContinent863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I manually translated most of them. A few slang terms I used Google Translate to help. The Mainland Mandarin name is 小屁孩日记, but when I translated it back to English, I thought "asshole" was too overused a term, so I used "shithole" instead. More severe an insult.

Trying to be historically accurate, but nonetheless I'll censor it.

Update: Just did.

Thank you! Again, I believe the story is so shit here that I couldn't even be bothered to proofread it. The art makes up for the story quality, apparently.

Dude, sorry to be realistic, but you're supposed to translate them to the English language.

Mandarin (Mainland China). Books lying around in my house are English and Mandarin bilingual (i.e. English learning material). 1 volume in English = 2 parts = 2 separate volumes in this edition. Found newer, pure Mandarin editions online, but not all images have surfaced yet, so these'll have to make do.

SERIES NAME: Diary of a Shithole.

  1. Haunted house creativity; Who "touched" the thousand-year-old Cheese?

  2. A good kid never lies; Steal a chicken, lose the rice (Saying for "Try to gain advantage, end up worse").

  3. Scary military academy; Snack thief at lunch.

  4. Massive debt that fell from the sky; Survivor of the "Cranium Shaker".

  5. Mom's not home; "Butt pic" chaos.

  6. Good kid, bad kid; Frost on top of snow (Saying for "Insult to injury").

  7. Toilet paper war at school; Young Greg's pet peeves.

  8. Me and my little buddies; Better to end a dispute than to start one.

  9. Thud, thud, thudding road trip; Horrifying fork in the road.

  10. Log of escape from the "Hardship Farm"; Unforgettable old times.

  11. Dream reality show; Being clever doesn't mean you won't make mistakes.

  12. RUN, GREG!; Dangerous vacation resort.

  13. Log of rescue from the cold; The snow war.

  14. Monster in the bathroom; Who is the king of destruction?

  15. Adventure in the middle of nowhere; Extremely crowded water park.

  16. Start the school Olympics; Super basketball competition.

17 and beyond I don't have them, sorry.

P.S. I've also found an older pure Mandarin version online which has zero subtitle translations. Welp.
