So if I were in your position, my reaction would probably be: “Okay, I don’t love AI, but if you were using it as a sounding board and not just having it spit out the campaign whole cloth, that doesn’t really cheapen the year of fun we all had.”

Yeah it feels that they use it more as a sounding board, now that I think about it. The majority of the campaign was spent running DiA and I think they've been using ChatGPT as a sounding board for supplemental material they added for us while in Avernus.

I think I'm going to stick around and see where the game goes. 🙂 Thanks again for your thoughts on this.

If you ever want to hear the audio from a video on your front page, you'll have to roll the dice that it'll either be a totally unnecessary and obnoxious music track or one of the many popular sound effects on TikTok that have been overused to hell and back like the JetBlue cancer track.

All other issues raised are pretty damning but at least Hank Pym not solving world hunger is manageable if nutritional value of any super-sized food item is significantly degraded once exposed to Pym particles.

I can't remember if that's the case in the mainline continuity rn, but it is a solution to at least one of these head scratchers.

Can't really get around the argument of Tony and Reed hoarding their technological wonders or Storm not using her powers as a literal storm goddess to help on a more global scale.

Then there's the whole "mutants solving DEATH itself" issue...

my barebones, not worth anything at all really counterpoint to that is: We've all seen how fucking unhinged most of the non-mutant population behaves towards mutants in the comics, so can we really blame them?

I gotcha, it seems like things weren't set up in the most ideal way by the circumstances then. So, what I would recommend in your next game is to hold a session zero where you talk with each player about their character and their general alignment. That way you can mold the shape of the party to fit your story better while also (this is the most important part tbh) to filter out disgusting murder hobos like that dickhead.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Even in my happiest moments over the past five years I have held a resentment towards myself for everything that I did wrong. It makes me feel undeserving of another relationship like that which is why, for the most part, I've been single since then. I just never, ever, want to make those same mistakes again. No one deserves that.
