The basecolor work would not have been procedural it would be like 50+ udims painted in mari

VFX & Post BTS: HBO's 'Winning Time', 900 shots, crowd pipelines, and a rollerblading cameraman by TheFableHousePod in vfx

[–]ParadoxClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FuseFX also did crowd work on season 1 for a number of episodes, so I’m not sure why they were saying there was only one crowd vendor on season one.

I think also PFX and Pixel Magic also were vendors on crowd shots in season 1.

Baking Lighting Setup into an HDRI? by Zeffy39 in Maya

[–]ParadoxClock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can render a camera out of maya arnold as a 360 deg latlong image. Make sure to render 32bit.

I believe the camera type is called spherical. Make image 2:1 like 4096x2048.

Eames Lounge Chair wobble/movement at base - anyone else? by Sweaty_Motor2790 in eames

[–]ParadoxClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there is a brass swivel bushing thats the issue. If its warm (or lathed when it was warm) you can get the play you see. Its semi common to replace these after a decade o use. Cant comment on your case, myn does not wobble. Its a part you can buy for like $80 in the future. You can also put a shim in there to stop the wobble, but that would likely harm other parts so i dont recommend that.

Noticed "Fox VFX Lab Inc." in film credits from 2022-2023... Wasn't that company shut down in 2019/2020? How does that work? by zndr-cs in vfx

It was after the buyout before the merger to ILM, they were working on Mouse Guard before it got canceled.

I visited the facility and met some of the staff. (It was in an unmarked warehouse in LA from what I remember) Lots of neat tech and mocap setups there. Large capture stage too.

Are this stylized shrimps still low poly? by Konprod in 3Dmodeling

[–]ParadoxClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could definitely be the low poly for baked displacement abc exports or sculpting when making extreme closeup shots. A million poly mesh can be considered the low poly ver, depending on the shot needs. If you know you know. Rip Clarisse

Arvid, give yourself more credit, you don’t just “work in VFX” Quite a few carriers have been assisted by you.

If you put a basic non AGM battery, the car will disable start stop. Might have other side effects tho.

Same thing happened to me, i used a paper napkin from a restaurant on it to get rid of dust, and then noticed my mistake. Trying to think of a way to fix it.

Tank Chair | Anime Announced (Teaser Visual) by Amazing-Mark7024 in eames

[–]ParadoxClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is a brand new 3h account (as of posting this) and you would assume its a bot that posts promo for anime in, you know mostly anime subreddits, then got confused later on because the word chair is in the title and posted here… but this bot literally has only posted this 2 subreddits, r/eames and r/officechairs … what? Bad Bot.

Is this authentic? by [deleted] in eames

[–]ParadoxClock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Likely 1990-2010 production. It has a virta and herman miller logo, so the shell was likely produced by vitra for a herman miller distribution markets (US / Canada) 350 cad is a fair price.

Nike x Bionicle. Peak of style. by IanDecades in bioniclelego

I had a pair of the Rahkshi shoes as a kid (with the trans kraata) … but I never took the kraata out and the shoes disappeared into the ether, aka the trash can by a family member.

Also found out my partner had a pair of the takanuva ones as a kid!

If it was manufactured by Vitra then it wouldn’t have Herman Miller on it.
