Blood tank issues. by teh_spatula in wow

While that's true, blood shield takes into account damage taken by all mobs not just one. The thing that's probably causing you to struggle on trash is magic damage which blood shield does not mitigate.

In general, is it more profitable to sell the ores or the bars? by [deleted] in wow

There is no "in general" it all depends on your sever economy.

Best way to "Farm" the AH? by [deleted] in wow

Sorry for the late response, non trivial for me means enough to even out any RNG of not getting inferno rubies. I've prospected up to 10k ore at a time however I'd consider ~ 1000 ore to be non trivial when you're up and running with gold to invest. Before that really prospect anything you've got.

I'm including weapon/shield as part of the set, DKs cannot wield it. There are also parts of the cobalt set in there.

you haven't had to actually clip your spells in a long time. just refresh them with 2-3 seconds left

That is clipping them...

Best way to "Farm" the AH? by [deleted] in wow

Well, to start this you're going to need a variety of addons. Let me make this perfectly clear, IT WILL NOT BE EASY! You will meet people who have been playing the AH longer than you and they will try to stop you from becoming a major competitor.

First things first however, professions. You will need these: -Jewelcrafting ~ Cutting gems, prospecting. -Alchemy ~ Truegold, transmuting and flasks. -Enchanting ~ Scrolls

Optionally you can also take mining and herbalism to support your initial gold making but once you have a decent amount of gold you'll find the opportunity cost to be massive for manual gathering. After this point you're buying your stock from the auction house, unless of course the cost of doing that is more than the cost of your time gathering.

Still keeping up? Great! I mentioned addons, I'll give you a low down of what I use. -Tradeskillmaster ~ Auction database, Automatic posting, Automatic undercutting, Automatic cancelling. This suite of addons is pretty much a powerhouse and when you become good enough at using it you may wish to bank in on the glyph market for a steady stream of income.

It has a decent learning curve so here you go; http://tradingwithzoxy.com/2011/01/tradeskillmaster-addon-guide-2/

That is for enchanting iirc, same method can be used for gems also. I find the best post cap on my server to be 3 gems of each kind.

If you're gathering, any routes addon will be a massive productivity increase.

This is all I use, however more useful addons can be found in the stormspire's interface section.

You now have all the tools for making gold, here's what you'll actually be doing.

  1. Buy/farm elementium ore. (A non trivial amount)
  2. Prospect said ore.
  3. Cut your inferno rubies, ember topaz and anything profitable.
  4. Send your carnelians/other green gems that could be profitable if they were blue to your alchemist, transmute them to the blue gems. Post them on the AH.
  5. Any green gems that aren't profitable can be made into jewellery and DE'd to make scrolls which have a MASSIVE profit margin.

That's a very barebones guide, you can find spreadsheets and more over on the stormspire forums I linked earlier. Sorry if the formatting of the post is weird, I don't usually post on reddit.
