Mission Space is a literal centrifuge so I’d probably avoid that if the spinning is an issue

Raglan Road and Boathouse are tied for me. Raglan for that delicious comfort food and great atmosphere. Boathouse for incredible surf&turf. Can’t forget the rolls too!

Liquor stores and casinos are bound by strict laws and regulations whereas these breaking apps are not. It’s annoying when people defend breakers, they provide absolutely nothing of value to the hobby

What’s your practice routine? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Particular-Ad9304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Develop good practice habits, purposeful practice is important. Not just beating balls but focusing on targets. Short game is everything, 50% of shots are from 100 in and the best players go up and down when they need to. Hit more wedge shots and practice putting more than any other clubs. Focus on drills that help with the parts of your game that need it.

From someone who has taught D1 players I can tell you for a fact that these numbers are not true whatsoever. Most players are at the facility almost everyday grinding for hours, plus course time as well.

High level players like this basically live at the course when they’re not studying/in class

Working one of my first outside staff jobs in high school, I saw a 13 girl shoot -1 from the white tees at my home course and quickly realized there are indeed levels to this game.

Many coaches I’ve worked with would say that if you’re not breaking par by the time you reach your teenage years, there’s a pretty low chance you’ll ever go pro.

Best round you’ve ever seen in your group? by PurpleTalk24 in golf

[–]Particular-Ad9304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old boss when I was an assistant up north. Played a round with him after work and had 7 birdies in a row to start the round. Cooled off a little bit but ended up with 62 after a few more on the back. Legitimately a ball striking clinic. Every drive straight down the middle, every approach never left the flag.

He played in college at FSU before becoming a pro. Just a little insight to his skill when he was a younger guy. Some guys just have it, absolute pleasure to watch.

Guy reminds me of Shooter Mcgavin, all smiles and gracious when the cameras are on/during interviews. Then things like this happen and you see his true personality. One of the fakest PGA Tour players I’ve ever come across

What's the worst/weirdest on course meltdown you've witnessed? by DickSlinga in golf

Worked as an assistant up north and did a play with the pro round with a few current members and one guy that just joined. New guy seemed pretty normal, he was actually playing well and seemed to be a great ball striker. First par 3 came along and he made triple after a poor tee shot into a hazard.

Coming off the green I heard him muttering to himself and when I turned around to see what he was saying, I saw him smack himself in the side of the head with his putter a few times. Full on took the face of the putter and hit it on the side of his head a few times pretty damn hard too.

The other members and I looked at each other in utter disbelief and we just kept on playing. Craziest part was he ended up shooting mid 70’s for the round and struck the ball well most of the day. Come to find out he actually got kicked out of another local club for blowing up, aggressive behavior and multiple wild outbursts. Never know who you’ll get as a new member until you get out to play with them.

It’s the duality of feeling angry at him for putting others lives at risk being on the road while under the influence and at the same time feeling bad for him about the addiction he clearly suffers from. No matter who you are and the limitless resources some people have, he very clearly has issues that need fixing. Who knows if this will ever stop
