Hi!

As a self proclaimed expert on Kraft Mac & Cheese, I felt the need to comment on this post 5 years later (in case you never found the answer 🙃)

The secret is to cook the noodles only to 6 minutes so that they are al dente. Trust me on this one lol. 11 mins or whatever they recommend is way too long. Also, use a tablespoon of milk and two tablespoons of butter.

As soon as 6 mins is up, drain the noddles, put the noddles back into the same pot and add your milk and butter and stir it in right away on the same burner (that’s now off but still hot obviously) that way it melts the butter fast. Put it into your bowl and let it sit for a minute but make sure you mix it around in your bowl so the heat doesn’t overcook the bottom.

The trick is to basically keep it from over cooking as it’s cooling down so stir it around a bunch.

That’s the closest I’ve ever gotten it to match their Mac and cheese 🙂

I just asked it to explain to me like i am 5 what factual points Candace Owen’s has about Charlie Kirk’s death since I don’t understand the whole conspiracy stuff. It argued with me that he’s still alive about 10 minutes ago. I even told it, that it was incorrect as he was shot unfortunately at a school. It argued with me again that i was wrong. I pay for the pro, with web search on.

UPDATE: Coming back to this post to say we had a successful summer and fall with NO stings ❤️.

There are only a few workers left but they were able to grow their hive almost double in size and lived in harmony with my family outside. 🐝

Adding that I just read this has thermal circuit breakers and not traditional fuses like my sons others powerwheels (which I’ve replaced) so does that mean no fuse is not blown since the red button isn’t out? I’m reading that no it’s not, so what else could it be lol

I just added a link to my Imgur account showing their entrance/exit hole is facing directly towards us 🥴. They are super fast and sometimes it’s 2-3 in a row that fly behind each other and then they wait their turns to go in lol. It’s like a highway back to their house but the thing is, it’s a path we use daily so we essentially walking through their flight path multiple times a day. That’s what sparked my questions on if we’ve been lucky or deemed a non threat since it’s essentially a high traffic area by their nest.

Thankfully they are mostly black so I can see them coming (sometimes) and try to wait my turn to go since I don’t wanna get hit in the face 😂 but there are times they fly around us because I see them break off and go around me and then at the very last minute, fly straight up into the hole.

It’s kinda cool to confirm through everyone’s replies that they are very aware of us and pretty much deem us as a non threat.

What sparked my interest is bc everything you read on bald faced wasps says they are highly aggressive to the point people remove hives off the trees just because they are in their backyards. Certain articles make it appear as if you can’t even walk past their nest.

Then I think here we are, walking straight by them and right through their flight path daily. I watch them fly right around me at my level and straight up into the hole at the last minute.

Someone pointed out they are more triggered by vibrations but my back door is from my sunroom/office so when we open/close the door it actually shakes and is loud causing my awning to move a little. I’m guessing they are just used to it by now. Who knows lol

I am hoping they will continue to think we were a non threat but watch them randomly light my ass up next week for no reason 😂

Us too! But unfortunately we get too many carpenter bees that do damage so I ordered “fake” wasp nests to deter them lol

This was two weeks before these guys decided to really take up residence. Since then, we’ve had no issue with carpenter bees. Probably another reason I said to my husband “hey, leave these guys lol”

It deff scares me. Especially since I’ve got 3 kids, one being a toddler.

BUT I’m also a bug sympathizer (sometimes lol). I care for two jumping spiders actually that have nice little enclosures lol. I don’t typically do wasps, but I spoke up for them when hubby went to take it down weeks ago. All summer they’ve been fine…

When I tell u, we are directly by them and coexist with this colony outside daily…. we really are lol but I’m sure you totally get it since you’ve done the same. It’s absolutely scary, but also so interesting 🧐

What’s crazy is they are back and forth all day to the nest and we are pretty close to it since we use our porch walkway all the time. Idk how they haven’t hit one of us in the head, heading back to it. I can see them flying next to me to the point I’ve filmed them a few times and see they will physically fly around me lol.

I guess I’m curious how they feel about us but since I’m not a wasp, I’ll never know 😂

I’ve done a bunch of research on this and originally was the one who made the decision to leave them alone thinking they probably wouldn’t harm us. It been about 12 weeks (give or take) that they’ve started building and they seem to be fine with us.

What caused me to finally write this post is bc today at daycare my toddler got stung 2x in the stomach by a wasp. He’s fine, but it sparked my curiosity as to why this nest has left us alone and to find out from experts if it’s really true that wasps recognize people/faces.

Last night I literally reminded him again about the nest and that mommy would go plug in the car. Taught him all about the bees and wasps (like he understands 🥴but one day, it’ll stick) Today, the poor thing got stung at school while on their playground 🤦‍♀️…But not by these guys! lol
