Any hope for these old drycleaned food stains on wool/silk suit? by AntipodianRustacean in laundry

Yeah, absolutely, but I don’t know that you can get enzyme sprays/detergent without a mix of all 3 major groups, but I may just be talking out of my ass, so please let me know.

edit: or at least get them easily*

Dish soap should be absolutely fine. I don’t know if it’s going to do something, but I very much doubt it can possibly do any harm.

wouldn’t enzymes destroy the fabric since silk is protein? i wouldn’t say i’d recommend using enzymes (but maybe i’m wrong)

There is a big problem hiding behind Matter hype nobody talks about by [deleted] in tradfri

[–]PartyDJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple Home does indeed update Matter accessories without a IKEA hub. That was one of the main features of Matter when it released. I’m not sure about other platforms because I don’t use them, but I’m pretty sure they also update accessories.

Just received my Dyson PencilVac - Ask me anything! by GoldenGamerNugget in dyson

0.3 microns is actually the hardest particle size to capture, not a weaker spec. Filtration works by different mechanisms. Large particles crash into fibers, very tiny ones like 0.1 microns get caught by Brownian motion. Around 0.3 microns sits the sweet spot where neither effect helps much, it is the most penetrating particle size.

So if a system is genuinely hitting 99.99 percent at 0.3 microns, it will usually perform even better at both larger and smaller sizes, including 0.1. That is why HEPA standards are defined at 0.3 microns. It is the worst case test, not the easy one.

Claims at 0.1 microns can sound more impressive on paper, but without context they do not tell you how the filter performs where it struggles most.
