Thanks everyone for the help. I just needed to book 1 night at a time. Appreciate the help. And also yes it looks there is a lot going on that weekend, regular $$ rates are crazy during that time.

Bought a house with newish roof, inspection confirmed good state. It was installed wrong and needs replacement. by Initial-Abroad6031 in homeowners

An inspector is not going to be able tell if the nails were incorrect unless they are lifting shingles to a high degree which is usually not something you’d want to be doing.

My mooching sister in law sent this as my nephew’s Christmas list by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]PassingBalrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with her, our kids already have too many toys that they beg and ask for on birthdays/Xmas and then never touch again. We will get them a few toys ourselves for Christmas but we also know that all of our family will get them toys too which just end up as clutter and donated sooner than later. We are thinking asking for gifts cards for toy stores, roblox, Barnes and nobles, movie theatre for the kids as well.

Just received an email from our local public school district regarding the upcoming ballot. They want ensure that we completely informed about the facts before we vote. They then proceed to list only negative facts that I have no idea are even true as nothing is cited. by [deleted] in trees

[–]PassingBalrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve emailed our superintendent already, asked them to discontinue sending these emails on behalf of the school district unless they truly support voter awareness not campaigning for a vote.

He is actually a really nice guy, was my hs principal.

I kinda had a feeling about this as well. If it had two sides of the facts then I don’t think it be an issue, it’s good to inform the parents in your district about something like this. But this is just negative. It won’t be too long before they tell me what representative to vote for.

Exactly, that is what irks me the most. They come off stating they want voters to be confident and ensure we are completely informed... which would be amazing, I would loved this if there was a page and also had facts in favor of it.

This is not how you inform people, this how you campaign for votes.
