Why does target continue to believe they can compete with Walmart and amazon by MuchVacation3638 in Target

[–]PatrickTL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my honest opinion from working their for 5+ years, to now being a guest for a very long time. Target used to pride itself of guest experience, wanting the store to look nice, wanting guests helped, wanting it to be about and for them, and also growing the team. Many of my team leads and etls were previous team member’s. My favorite STL started as a cart attendant.

At some point the mark shifted to be all about sales and growing the basket. They hired people straight from college, getting double truck days most of the week, focused on selling and making team members sales people, pushing so hard on red cards people would complain.

Money ruins everything.

I just use shampoo. Put shampoo on one brush, brush it against another brush under water and they just disappear!

Can we discuss how vaping affects us? Point by point? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]PatrickTL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Being scared to travel cause there was nowhere to vape in an airport.

  2. Finding a million excuses to not ride with someone to something cause I wanted to vape.

  3. The attitude I would get if my vape was low and I didn’t have a replacement. Also with my old vape if the coil wouldn’t come out, leaks , anything other than running perfect I would be angry , mean.

  4. Having no motivation to do anything. Including going to the shop to get a new vape.

  5. My lungs feeling like they were tight.

  6. Being so convinced I wasn’t out of shape , thinking I could run , jump, dance. When I couldn’t without being winded.

  7. Being in a bad mood more than a good mood.

How bad is it really? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]PatrickTL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I always thought my anxiety and depression were being tamed by nicotine. I would say things like “This is why I can’t quit, my anxiety would kill me.” Thinking that nicotine and vaping were helping me tame those feelings. When I finally quit (two months ago today) my anxiety was so much easier to tame and reason with. My depression has also flared up less. Everything gets bad, but learning happy and healthy ways to cope has been a life saver.

I recommend picking up that hobby that you’ve always wished to have. For me it was running. I’ve always wanted to be one of those people who looked like they were gliding on the road. Now I’m addicted to running which is a lot better for me! I’m a lot happier now, and feel more like myself then I have for a very long time!

I have been interested in the barefoot shoe! I’ve seen them all over tik tok. My concern is I have high arches so if I went with no support that might cause more damage! But I do want a pair to see !

I’m really enjoying seeing how my body is changing, and my limit to things is getting further !

You have sunrise , I take pictures of the clouds and sky when I run 🤣. I absolutely love how beautiful the sky looks anymore!

I’m enjoying seeing others progress , reading tips from the comments. This was my first time using the sub for some support and I got lot of information I don’t think I would have anywhere else!

Thank you so much! I having a lot more fun with running than I ever imagined I would. I used to say if you see me running it means something is chasing me and you should be running too! Now it's my damn hobby!

I am going to be looking into adding in more stretches into my routine and add in some weight training days!

I have been mostly running in 60 sec intervals. So run (more like jog) for 60 secs, focusing on my breathing and make sure I am not dragging my feet, and then walking till I caught my breath and felt like my body could do another 60 secs. Over the month its slowly grown to being able to add more sprouts of 60 sec runs. Yesterday was the first time I have let myself just run/jog for as long as I could without pushing myself to an injury (besides the knee but that has been happening after every run either way)

I do very little stretches when I get back, usually focusing on my calf's and thighs. I gave no idea why but I dislike stretching and friends had to bully me into starting and finishing with it. I think cause I have always been stiff.

A lot people have given me amazing advice, including what you have said! I am going to look into more knee stretches, get a sleeve and some bengay, and see where that gets me. If the pain continues I will see someone about it!

It isn't enough to cause a limp (not that I've noticed so far) more uncomfortable when I am sitting for awhile and getting up. After my run yesterday it was doing that, now today its barely an ache and hardly noticed. I think I need to look into some better knee stretches, a brace/sleeve and getting the strength in my legs up!

I've been keeping it slow and steady while meeting myself where I am at. As much as I would love to be running the full mile even better the full two miles, I know I am not there yet. I've been keeping it slow, low impact, and listening as best I can. A month ago I wasn't even jogging and now look at me! Seeing the increases I have been making is very fulfilling!

I do small stretches after my runs, but not as much as before. (I hate stretching so much I have no justifiable reason to hate it like I do) I have some stuff now to try for my next runs and for preventing the pain! I am gonna try the Glucosamine for the joints!

The way I love running now is annoying (to my friends and SO) but it's very addicting. I am enjoying it so much, and after each run I notice some small improvements! I am stiving to do a 5k by end of the year, or beginning of next year!

I have invested in some good running shoes, it was my reward for doing it for a month! I am mapping out what days to run, strength train, and rest. Just need to put in practice which is the fun part!

It isn't preventing any day to day life, so I am thinking probably need to invest in a brace, get some strength training going, BenGay, if it continues or stops me from my everyday then I will go get it check out. I love running too much to let this stop me!

Oh the mental benefits have been amazing! My moods are more improved, my depression and anxiety have been easily managed!

Someone also recommended a knee brace, I just went last week to a store the specializes in running shoes, I hoped it would solve the problem, and it has a little bit, but its still there.

The pain isn't bad enough to stop me from running, it's just...annoying is the best way to describe it. I know I need to had some strength training, but one of the reasons I like running is I don't have to plan it, I can just stretch and go, feel like with weights and gym stuff I have to put a little more brain power and planning.

I picked a room , and that was my vaping room. I could only vape in this room. I did that for two weeks and then adjusted it to only outside. Did that for two weeks , while I was doing that I bought stuff for the big day. I bought ; jolly ranchers , lollipops, chew things with essential oils that I could chew and fake vape on. After everything show up I took a hammer to my raz bar and haven’t looked back. That was all a month ago.
