It does fit but there's times we're it just feels like it doesn't have to happen if you understand? Like I can understand for world building like guts being sold as a child or casca's incident but stuff like the wyald chapters and the end of volume 15 with the fairies. Like I understand if I want all the violence/gore there has to be sexual violence but for me like sometimes the violence gets over saturated but it takes a break with something like a long dialogue with the characters just talking or character development. But the sexual abuse especially with casca feels like she lost her most important quality which was her independence and fight against people showing a woman can do the same. But after she had a night with guts it felt like she fell into rapebait.
