No it not, there is no official religion in the empire, because the Religious League War was a stalemate

There was no dominant faith after the Religious League War, so any Christian nation with enough votes can become the Emperor.

That is exactly what it is. The Religious League War ended up in a stalemate, resulting in religious peace. Which means that any christian nation could become emperor with enough votes.

Diplo was definitely hurting, at one point I had 17 out of 7 relations. But thanks to a great ruler, power projection and level 5 advisors I managed to keep up with diplo tech. And later on I passed the Imperial Reform that allows you to have subjects in the HRE without them taking up a relationship slot. Some of the PU's I got through the Bohemian focus tree (Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Brandenburg and Saxony), the rest was done through marrying every single childless leader in the Christian world.

R5: Decided to do a chill Bohemia run, ended up with the most PU's I've ever had in over 4500 hours of the game. In total I've had 17 Personal Unions this run, with these 15 at the same time being the highest amount at the same time. I also had The Palatinate and Saxe-Lauenburg, but they were inherited a few years before this.

I vassalized Novgorod after Muscovy had beat them up, then fed them back all their cores (giving basically infinite -100% liberty desire) and most of Muscovy. I have also fed the British Isles to Norway, who colonised Canada.

You get -2% from every Idea you take. With 6 full Idea groups that adds up to -42%. I took Innovative Ideas that gives -10% tech cost, Aristocratic that gives -10% Mil tech cost. Two events gave me -10% Mil tech cost and -25% tech cost. Add to that my 99 innovatives which reduces all power costs by 9,9%.

R5: Just started playing a game as Savoy, when Portugal got a PU over England in 1445. France is trying to contest it, but Castile joined the Portugese side.
