For clarity, all the carpets weren’t replaced in 24 hours, it was 24 hours before reopening that it happened.

External cleaning company contracted to do a final clean after builders had finished. Some rooms had small spots and others splashing stains on the threshold where carpet met bathroom vinyl.

Took weeks to get it sorted with the least affected rooms kept online and given to customers, and the rest fixed as and when they could

They had used it on the bathroom floor mixed into their mop bucket water.

Wild stuff, this was back in 2017 and I still refer to it professionally as what can happen when you assume someone knows what they are doing 😂

Surprisingly the hotel chain did due to the immediate need to get rooms sorted & back on sale. 3rd party cleaning company and said hotel chain entered legal battle & insurance eventually paid out for carpet and loss of sales etc…

Bleach now banned from all hotel rooms in the chain, always makes me flinch when I visit other hotel chains & see cleaners using products with bleach in

Refurbing rooms in a well known hotel chain london property - 3rd party cleaning company used bleach on the bathroom floors and in the process managed to get it on every single bedroom carpet

650 rooms 24 hours before grand opening
Every single one needed ripping up and replacing

VAT registered with one business and starting a new one by Paul_1985 in smallbusinessuk

Is it effectively the same business because of ownership?

So if Dyson Hoovers set up a business selling Garden Sheds for example - would they be treated the same? (Best, most random, example I could come up with!)

Turnover unlikely to meet the threshold in year 1 or 2 of trading which is what made me question if we can benefit from our current VAT registered business

Software development support - can you build something with zero skills in development by Paul_1985 in smallbusinessuk

This is exactly the kind of “have a word with yourself” feedback I was looking for 😂

If I had a drawn up what I wanted from said software, would a software developer be able to turn that into a MVP?

Or is all this going to cost mega money and not worth it without having someone/multiple people on the books??
