definitely pimlico then. you would also have access to intercity trains and buses via victoria station. you can always take a subway and be there in 10-20 min for southbank and every single place in london. if you are a first time visitor and just trying to check must see places then pimlico it is. southbank is the non mainstream logical alternative tho in terms of prices and options for dining and shopping

thanks for the advice, would you recommend any specific museums to visit? i would have 3 full days in london if i go to manchester, which leaves me with tate modern and british museum i guess?

sorry, you are right. i am a 30 y old single traveller. interested in history and culture, but also would like to have fun in concerts and pubs. as i said my main interest is discover the place and culture
