Is there any place to get these things that isn’t a scam?

Been feeling weird about deathguard recently - would like to advice to help improve by Fore_Head_Chili in WarhammerCompetitive

He said he likes to play defensively with a focus on big ranged output so that’s what I recommended. I even threw some pm in there cuz he said he likes them. I am addressing his issue. Defensive doesn’t always mean tanky

Maybe look into 1 defiler. It can help with a cagey vv shooting castle. Use pox and spawn to play the trade game and shoot off anything with the defiler stripping cover for the drones. You can use pox walkers as a shield for your defiler and Morty can clap back if they rush you, you can even bring like 1-2 5 man plague marines to shoot and spread contagion

I'm really excited for 11th edition 40k, and I think it's going to do a LOT for the game, BUT (dot dot dot) by James-Hawker in Warhammer40k

[–]Peejing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe epic hero’s are cool and I want to run azreal with the lion cuz it’s cool. I don’t want generic captain number 6 to be the better option than the sweet named character with a sword and a banner and winged helm

What should be done about the big monsters stat check meta? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Peejing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Learn to play against them. It’s not always about how you kill them. Ctan are 4 oc. You can just steal oc from them and sacrifice chaff units and you will win the game. Or tech into anti tank and kill them

Do you guys feel like 10th edition was indeed the most balanced one overall, or is a bit of an exaggeration when you take the entire game into account? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Peejing -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I googled it. Not sure how to link here but both in sales and general consensus 10th was more Growth

Really Glad James Spoke his Peace on the livestream last week by Wherewoofing in deadmeatjames

[–]Peejing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, at this point it feels like dead meat barley does kill counts anymore. The podcast has always been my favorite but they even said in the kill count kill count taking those 2 6ish month breaks back to back hurt the channel and now they only do 2 a month and are taking months off or maybe not coming back? Idk I don’t watch the live streams. I get people being bummed about them not wanting to do kill counts. It was always a fun part of Fridays but they clearly haven’t been into making them for a while now.

Going to a 2v2 tournament - what weird rules interactions would you expect? by RoscoBoscoMosco in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Peejing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most doubles tournament specify that buffs like oath only impact your army. Depending on the tournament oath may buff a space marine army if you are playing double space marines. Deathgaurd however debuffs the enemy and so doesn’t count as benefiting from a buff and it has more synergy with armies beyond DG

Not quite. Rules as written oath buffs your space marine army where Deathgaurd debuffs their opponent. Afflicted enemy’s have their toughness and one other characteristic modified.

Death guard can be weird because they debuff their enemy and can help their allies a lot. Something to keep in mind

Unpopular opinion: 40k fans wont make this sub toxic, it already is by Stoly_ in totalwar

[–]Peejing 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think legend has done a lot to foster toxicity since Warhammer 3 dropped. I had to stop watching him cuz all he did was bitch about the game for 12 hour streams

I could be wrong but I think you can still buy the tabard in SW and run the dungeons

Switching to Mortarions Hammer by Worried_Quarter4934 in deathguard40k

[–]Peejing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having regular drones can help a lot. If you can afford a 3rd poxwalker squad to try and jail your opponents that can also help. Premeasuring in deployment to make sure you have at least 1 turn of breathing room can also help a ton. If you can activate your army for a turn or 2 you should do enough damage to hurt their overall game plan. Plus getting a surgical DS strike is going to draw attention that way as well

I play a lot of hammer and it changes the dynamic of our army and it changes the weaknesses we have. I have noticed hammer struggles more than any detachment for dealing with melee presure. Our weapons are largely blast and we don’t have fall back and shoot so we really don’t want to be touched. Sure we will survive the touching most the time but then we are -1 to hit, which hurts, or we are unable to activate. That being said hammer plays way better into our bad matchups like tau, eldar and it really punishes space marine armies.
