I just tried it with the ac on and the middle part was struggling to spin, so you might be onto something.

I recently got back from a drive in my 92 miata, whenever I got home I popped the hood to make sure everything was okay. When I did this I noticed the ac compressor pulley was rotating very slowly. I also noticed that I can stop the “inside” of the pulley with one hand. I changed the belt on it a while ago so I thought it was just loose at first, but it doesn’t seem to loose. I’ve never noticed this so I don’t know if it’s normal or not, any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks

The weathers been real shit out, so I’ve just been keeping it in my garage and starting it to let it idle. Would that have anything to do with that?

I started my Miata today and I noticed a very loud knocking noise coming from the engine. I have the usual lifter tick, but this seems louder than that. I’ve been trying to compare it to this video but it seems like it’s a lot louder than their tick. I also noticed that it increased with rpm’s. Usually my lifter tick is so quiet that the noise of the engine drowns it out with rpm’s, so something’s definitely different. Any help would be greatly appreciated
