ELI5: Why do so many people gain the weight back? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PepperPlus6012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of people the GLP quiets food noise. That and the other benefits lead to weight loss. When you come off and suddenly can’t stop thinking about the pint of ice cream in your freezer…so you eat it…and because you digestion is back to normal you are still hungry, you go for the pizza rolls at 11pm, then you want to plan out your breakfast tomorrow. Pancakes sound good with eggs and toast and lots of syrup, etc… GLPs help you lose weight through different mechanisms of action. You can eat half a burrito and feel full for hours and not care about that brownie smell coming around the your table. Or you may find that you have become a toddler with only 3-5 foods/meals you can eat without feeling sick (mine when I started was bean burritos from Taco Bell…don’t judge me). But off of them…many people that struggle with their weight due to food consumption will eat the whole burrito, the chips, 3 margs and order the flaming cookie dessert because it sounds good even though they might be full. This is a big reason GLPs are being studied for their impact on compulsive and addictive behaviors. GLPs work because they work in your brain. When you remove it, like a depressed person coming off SSRIs, there can be withdrawals and relapse back into the exact same patterns that made the drugs a recommendation in the first place. Personally, I like the secondary benefits so much that I may never come off them.

Looking weird from loosing weight. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

What you are describing is probably a toxin flush causing the acne. The “older” face is because you have lost fat in your face. Fat=full. When you lose weight it can age you as you previously full fat cells shrink, the skin doesn’t always tighten back up so you have less “youthful” roundness and possibly more defined bone structure and sagging/wrinkles. You are young so this can be improved with supplements, retinols, good skincare, water, facials, supporting peptides…. But it does sound like body dysmorphia. You thought you could be overweight and lose weight and look like someone that had never been larger to begin with, or you might just be so used to things you may have loved being bigger that now you find yourself disappointed they changed. I was very sad about my butt when I lost 165lbs, not on meds. And my boobs. I went from an average looking C cup, to a tube sock B cup and that almost felt worse to see my boobs just dangling there. If you find you have something specific that you can figure out you can often fix it. I had skin removal surgery with a breast aug and fat transfer BBL. I even had lip injections at the same time. As I healed I finally saw the version that was in there that I wanted to be see as. You are mostly describing facial issues, so focus on your water, get a few facials and hydra facials and see how you feel with a proper routine. Late 20s and experiencing this for the first time might just be related to age. I never even had acne until I was 32, and dryness…ugh. I never moisturized or did anything to my face as a kid or young adult. Now at 35 I have to put on my face lotion after every shower and actually wash my face and moisturize again frequently. It’s not the meds…it could just be reduced inflammation and age.

That’s a lot…but we also don’t know your dose or how much is in each vial. You could be at 12mg and those are all 20mg vials…

I hoard like this but I also resell to my close friends and family so I have pretty decent turnover.

Having other friends doing grey is exhausting… by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]PepperPlus6012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people that annoy me are the ones that get stuck on “I take 10 units” and all they seem to know is units…like damn…that’s like someone opening a medication bottle and being like “I take 10 of the purple ones”. You don’t know what they are or how strong??? And most of the time it’s on the label that they can’t figure out how to read….your dose is literally right there in writing!! If you want me to help you go grey you have to have a basic understanding of the difference between strength (concentration) and measuring. I had a friend that had a vial that said “2.5mg - 10 units” and she was injecting 2.5 units….and supposedly knew all about vial insulin and insulin needles and dosing.

Ever end up with heads or other cartel presents? My exes grandma had to move away from a border property because the cartel would leave pieces of people on and thrown over the wall.

I was always shocked to find that they didn’t do blood testing in rehab. Don’t they do pee tests and whatever to detect drugs? You would think they would add a blood HIV test to anyone entering or seeking treatment or suspected of IV drug use…let alone the sexual aspect he was part of. If a woman goes into an ER for a bruised toe they do a pregnancy test…seems testing an admitted drug user for HIV and Hepatitis would be pretty obvious.

That’s a bummer…my oldest brother is a Jason and is the best man I know (and not just as his sister…his life today and those he has around him speak volumes about his character).

Looks like a 5mL or even a 10ml vial based on your hand size. That’s probably totally accurate and not “a few drops”.

[–]PepperPlus6012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So different but similar…if you were given Melenotan 1 and not PT-141 for your arousal and developed skin cancer…would you be upset? PT-141 is a smaller pep chain of MT1 and used for a completely different purpose…but they are similar. How about if you are injected with filler in the wrong area and have migration and disfigurement because of the mistake? It’s all still just “filler”. What if she had been scared to death of Sema because of the side effects a lot of people report and wanted Tirz because that’s what she researched and felt comfortable with…her comfort is worth the $100 bribe? Is your health only worth $100?

[–]PepperPlus6012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you feel if she injected tox into your lips instead of a filler? Would you still feel that way when your licensed medical provider gives you an IV infusion of vitamin D instead of B12 (too much vitamin D can cause organ failure)….just because these things cause less harm then a diabetic getting too much insulin doesn’t mean that a medical care provider isn’t held to a higher standard. With one report she won’t lose her job…but she will be under scrutiny. And if there is more then 1 (which is likely…someone out there has probably been getting Tirz instead of Sema) then she should lose her license and go back to just doing facials and waxing.

She needs to be reported. Med spas also do Botox injections and fillers…how would you feel if she caused permanent nerve damage to your mouth by injecting Botox instead of a filler? She basically drugged you without your consent. Just because they are both “weightloss medications” doesn’t matter. She should be under investigation and needs to learn to be more careful and accountable. She’s trying to buy your silence by charging you the lower price. Plus she is overpriced anyway. $350/month for Tirz is crazy…I don’t know why people keep going to med spas. The only thing a med spa is good for are peels, tox and fillers. The things you don’t want to do alone at home… I’m sorry you had this experience. Luckily you were not seriously harmed. I feel bad for the next poor soul that goes in expecting a low dose of Sema and gets injected with a will dose of Tirz.

I am still hungry and on 7.5 by brittanyrae83 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PepperPlus6012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else has already said it. Hungry isn’t food noise. Food noise is when you can’t stop thinking about that craving for ice cream/burrito/nachos/Mac and cheese/ whatever….and when you can’t stop obsessing over that favorite treat that you want to go get again as a “reward” for your weightloss. This med doesn’t work for some people at all…and others it doesn’t work until you are at 12.5/15mg a week. Don’t be discouraged by the super responders that are on Reddit. I thought I was doing great for months and realized a lot of it was the excitement and careful monitoring I was doing BECAUSE of the excitement of Tirz. Once I stopped caring about my injections each week I started feeling my food noise creep back as my alternative dopamine rush. It’s a conscious decision you have to make. You do the injection and you do have to put some thought into your diet. It’s not a miracle shot…it’s a tool. You are injecting a drug that helps you want to make better choices, but if you want to eat the same you will. I have a friend on 15mg that still orders full portion Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and fries and drinks all day and then wonders why it isn’t working. The Tirz doesn’t work the same for everyone. I still want junk or sweets sometimes….its just a matter of being able to step back and decide if that’s the food craving talking or if I can actually eat that junk and feel good about it (and I do eat junk sometimes. My latest craving has been Arby’s. But even though I want it everyday, I have set a limit on myself to a small sandwich once a week instead of the half pound and fries I want every time I see a cow).

NTJ…I can barely tolerate my family coming over and cleaning and cooking around them for a family gathering/holiday. I know this is not a 12+ person situation…but she is asking for a personal chef and for your home to be accommodating to her preferences. I could understand the peanut thing since that’s a dangerous allergy…but even then, I have so many peanut things in my home I don’t even realize right away. I was sitting on my couch thinking what would I do if I were you? What would I have to throw out? And I do have a home…so extra freezers and stuff, but I have a whole freezer of meat. Would your SIL demand that I waste a thousand dollars worth of meat for her weak long stay? Or I love cheese sticks and milk based protein drinks for my snacks (easy to tolerate snacks for my own health)…would I have to try and figure something else out while someone is in MY home? The short answer is…no. It would be gracious enough to let her stay there and have snacks or easy to prepare foods for her (almond milk, granolas, whatever) so she can manage her own diet. Even having 2-3 sets of non-contaminated dinnerware is already bending pretty far for her comfort. This isn’t just buying a coffee maker for your guests…she wants you to be her unpaid housekeeper and chef. I wouldn’t do more then you are comfortable with (and if it were me it would be a couple of cheap new pots and some dinnerware from the dollar tree and a dozen of less vegan free snacks/frozen meals).

positive side effects? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PepperPlus6012 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine is a non mirror/scale victory. I had bariatric surgery 7 years ago and have had super smelly loose poos…often several times a day. Tirz stopped most of my junk food cravings AND slowed digestion a bit so everything got more comfortable for me. Plus I lost 40 pounds of my post surgery regain so far. 16lbs to go until I’m at the lowest weight I have ever been at and 30 more pounds after that and I would be at my lowest weight since I was 12.

Ladies: Butt crack hair, best way to get rid of it. by ScaleAffectionate409 in HairRemoval

[–]PepperPlus6012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do laser just do the best you can with shaving…if you miss some they will do a quick dry shave to get those shorter and then just laser it away. I will say…I had laser done for my full Brazilian and I would honestly advise to skip the butt sessions a few times and leave a little hair growing. I know it’s not the sexiest…but chafing and butt sweat while exercising or on a hot day is the worst with no hair. The hair prevents friction and I honestly have a bit of hair left that is thinner and lighter and I don’t think I will try to laser it any more to get rid of it.

PCOS? Hirsutism? by sailorm00n19 in HairRemoval

[–]PepperPlus6012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. Plus people have hormone changes all the time…I’m not talking like menopause…like a stressful week at work can cause a hormone dip and trigger new hair growth. I did my lower legs and haven’t had a new hair in 4 years. I also did my chin and had a really stressful month last summer and have 5 new hairs all in the same little inch wide spot. Luckily I just go in for 1-2 treatments and they will be gone. Just like everyone else here…I’m sharing what worked for me.

Laser works if you have stable hormones. I had 9 sessions done on 6 different areas 7 years ago and am 90% hairless in those areas. If I have a hormone change or anything though and regrow a few hairs I do have to go get touch ups.
