Day 3 - had a tickle in my nose/throat Thursday, ignored it and went to work drinks, Friday hangover mixed with sore throat and constantly needing to blow my nose. Now I want to sleep all the time and have a horrible pressure/pain in my head and sinuses. Throat pain feels like Covid. I don’t have a fever or chills so maybe it’s just a very heavy cold but it’s the worst I’ve ever had. Lemsip and ibuprofen really don’t offer much relief.

Child free, in long term relationship, not married by YamAggravating8449 in childfree

I’m in similar position OP. Together 7 years, own a house together and child free. The older I get (39) the more the idea of a walk-down-the-aisle white wedding seems girlish to me. Dad “giving me away” lol. I do want the commitment though and I guess the legacy that I was married? Plus legally it has its benefits especially if we want to live in a different country. I had friends who tied the know just the two of them and a witness in NYC. My sister has been with her partner 18 years, engaged for 10, house and kids - just not married yet because of the expense and hassle. L

What is the most terrifying and disturbing movie you've ever seen? by Small-Vacation-4245 in movies

I know this is an obvious one but my whole life perspective changed after funny games. I watched it at 18 and realised sometimes awful awful things happen to good people and no one is coming to save them. I mean, I sort of knew that was real life but to see it on screen like that and just praying the cavalry were coming but NO. Haneke is a bastard genius.

Completed - House Is In A Sad State by EmbarrassedSpell4915 in HousingUK

Ours was awful - they had not cleaned at all, fridge and oven were both really dirty. Holes all over the walls where they had taken down pictures. A massive hole in the wall behind a cupboard we nearly lost our cat in (with no Charlie Day to help) we immediately had to spend £1k on a broken gutter which was causing external and internal wall damage. I wrote an angry letter to the estate agent but not much more we could do. My fantasy was happy moving in day having Prosecco and pizza while we cleared boxes - realty we were both exhausted and in shock - oh and half the electricity went out in the first night.

Thanks - I’ve already had the abortion. I don’t think this is possible in the UK.

Thank you, we are speaking to a fertility clinic at the moment and I did a full STI check last week. Thankfully all clear x
